I am looking to get a loan (£3000 - 4000) over a period of 3 years. I am in full time employment and I have never had a history of debt etc. Thing is ........ I have applied to a lot of companies who are preforming a lot of credit searches and, because this brings my credit rating down, I am unable to get anything. Can anyone help with lenders etc.
Thanx xxx

Be very careful, 99% of the responses you get here are scams and will ask for money up front.

You could try people to people lending it is a new trend. It is were you borrow money from actual people instead of a bank or corporation it is 100% legal and secure. Its kinda like a classifieds for loans. Check it out Prosper.com. Also it is a great way shove it to the banks. I have not tried it but heard interviews on NPR about it.

The best solution if your struggling is firstly get your credit report and check its ok.. you can log onto Experian.co.uk
they are really good and helpful over the telephone.
You can contact experian if you find your report shows incorrect info and they will chase it up for you.

If your still struggling I suggest going to your own bank, they should be able to offer you a competative loan. Thats what i did!

Good Luck

Most people have more credit on their Credit Cards than that .. have you already maxed yours out ?

Maybe that's the problem .. if you are already up to your ears in debt that you can't afford to pay back, no way are they going to risk lending you any more .. (when you eventually go for an IVA or Bankrupt, the last person to lend you money is usually the one to loose the most)

bring along ur latest salary slip which is chopped with stamp n certified by ur manager together with ur annual income tax slips 4 three consecutive yrs(yr 2004-yr 2006).if u r qualified 4 the loan the bank officer w'd ask u to sign the loan form immediately, but of course he w'd turn u down if u arn't qualified even though it's just a small amount.

do you have a bank account? usually after you have had one for a while they can help you! i don't know how high they would be willing to go but if you explain that you would like to increase your credit they can help you. i know the bank i have now will even help with debt consolidation as well to help improve my credit score. find a bank with a free financial advisor. i don't know where you live but Chase Bank provides this service.
good luck!

Credit searches don't hurt your score by THAT much. You're being denied either because you have bad credit, or you haven't been at your job long enough.
