we all see it used in arguments for and against god exsistance and other things.
now hear me out, for those that use it as evidence of god, saying god made it, its god's word, how can it be so when it is made and edited my man kind. i get most of the crap in there is all good and everything, but having people make religions out of it, and a so called jesus has made factions, has made nations go to war and spread violence, ignorence and fear.
so why do you believe the bible is evidence of god?
(if u use the bible to prove the bible, your not helping with me trying to get a straight answer here)

Lo: I could get a paper and pen, write down: "from this day forth, all those who do not believe in (whatever religion) are going to hell" and put god spoke to me to write this. would you believe me. would you believe anyone who wrote that right now.

nations got to war for the same reasons people fight, beliefs, money, and power. in every major war, its been over religion and power, and from those 2, you have more or less money pending if you won or lost.

if jesus was sent to show people how to get to heaven, why did it not happen sooner, why only in one location, why not have a super jesus, have him fly around, have him go around the whole world himself doing all that peaceful stuff instead of countries exploring the glode and spreading the word by, conform to us or die in the begining.

becoz they dont have anything/any sensible arguments to support their claim, of so called god/god's word

so they feel so insecure, about their god/religion ....they just copy/ paste some stuff from bible & use it as proof ( i cant stop laughing ..lol)

if someone questions their faith , ..either they get angry/offended or just run away like a loser

i think every single word written in it, is full of lies , unscientific, superstitions, hate ,lack of common sense, ignorance & stupidity ...not joking.. it doesn't even qualify as a good fiction tale

Listen, please...
Youre shooting out so many questions, and they are all great questions and stuff, but i am hear to say, "calm down, and take a deep breath".
The evidence of God begins with the world...the trees, the lakes and oceans, the mountains, the clouds. How about those stars at night, a clear night that is. People, humanity, fish and animals, birds...Have you ever watched birds fly and wondered how they do that ?
There is so much proof of God and the stories in the Bible, that you wouldn't believe it unless the time were right.
The words in the Bible cannot be understood unless one opens his heart to it, and thats just the way it was made, but thats the main reason that so many people argue about it and don't understand it, and there's not much anyone can do about it, but continue trying his or her best.
God doesn't push himself on anyone, and thats just his character, and even though we think we know what that means, our human understanding cannot comprehend that.
Did you know that "The Dead Sea Scrolls" that were found in this century, and were traced back to some 3,000 years ago....and thats by science...are almost word for word, carbon copy's of todays Bibles.
Mammoths that were discovered dead just a few years ago were linked to the Great Flood....and that was by our scientists.
Try punching up the story of Noahs ark, and see what you find...on the net.
I can't possibly go into depth about all your questions, and all the things i am bringing up...I mean, I can, but nobody would even read it, but i think i got my point across and gave you enough stuff to investigate, if you dare to, or care to.

The Bible is all believers really have, and all they really need. Obviously, the Bibles we have today aren't the original writings, they were written in Hebrew/Aramaic in the Old Testament and Koine Greek in the New, so had to be translated into the many differrent languages. It's quite possible, therefore, that some things may have been lost in translation, but the message is essentially the same - the Bible is the means by which God has chosen to communicate with mankind.

As for proving the Bible to be true, that is impossible, although in certain books like Daniel, Jeremiah and others it has been shown to be historically accurate. Whether we choose to believe the Bible or not is a matter of faith, which is after all an individual matter.

Apart from a few mentions of historical towns and non Christian events there is nothing prove able in the bible!!!

It might well be a mix of fact and fiction popularly known as "faction".

Virtually nothing about the life of Christ written in the bible is supported by any trace in the historical records. Indeed for a man supposed to have been a real problem to the Romans it is indeed surprising to find that there is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman archive!! Perhaps more surprising is that there were a number of Jews claiming to be the Messiah at the time and all of those are well documented in Roman records!!!

Christianity is a faith - people who seek to provide or claim truth are merely showing that they lack faith and need proof!!!

Literature is commonly seen valid if it passes the attempt of time. Literature which endures for many generations is commemorated because of the fact it hasn't lost its charm. That the Bible remains very a lot present day in our lifestyle is evidence of its validity, if no longer its divinity in line with se. Bishops in the 4th century compiled the Bible with a elementary desire to impression mankind for the best, and era after era has seconded that preliminary sanctification. If the Bible fell wanting its unique objective, it would desire to have been replaced at any element. for sure, the Bible has born up below huge historic upheavals and could in all probability proceed to accomplish that. Its materials outweigh any liabilities that could desire to be present day in its textual content textile--liabilities like exaggerations with regard to the divinity of Jesus, mandates to kill witches, or admonition for slaves to be obedient to their masters. maximum all and sundry is enlightened sufficient to forget the Bible's pitfalls, in want of its genuine wit and understanding. It has yet to bypass out of pass. each and all the historic, non secular shape regularly regular as church homes could ought to be repurposed as nicely. Why re-invent the wheel?

apologetics is the legal (as in going to court to present evidence) science for the proof of the accuracy of the bible.

refute any of it, and you will have done what great men and women with awesome educations and the most brilliant minds have failed to do.

that is why the bible stands.

the qu'an can't do that, the book of mormon can be tracked to the handwritten manuscripts of Joseph Spaulding, a sunday school teacher who lived about 100 years before joseph smith who stole them and claimed they were his.

get your facts right.

a lot of people make claims, but ignorantly miss the point that many brilliant people hate the bible, hate christians and set out to disprove the bible, and did not, hense all the scholarly documentation of the reliablity and integrity of the bible.

you are certainly free to think what you want, and I assure you that I will defend your rights to believe what you want. God has the last say in the matter.

It's the only thing that man has ever had for a guidebook for life. What i don't like is there tendency to gloss over descreptancy and conflicts in the book. There is also the part about the missing or deleted books of the bible. So my problem with the whole thing is it was created by and edited by MAN not god.

If there were a trial about the existence of god, it would be excluded as rank hearsay. There are also questions about: authorship, whether any of the writers were actually witnesses to anything, authenticity since the damn thing has been edited so many times, competency becuase of the references to mythical beasts (seven headed dragons and such are usually reserved for the wacked), testimony of criminals, etc., and the lack of personal knowledge of the writers (e.g. Luke said I have made an investigation, meaning he had no personal knowledge).

I use the Bible as reference. Genesis offers a clue to our prehistory. The rest to the development of religion among the Jews. Since the writers were inspired by the Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit should also inspire readers. There are many passages that need not be interpreted literally. There is a clue on how to achieve religion or the personal and harmonious relationship with God. Unfortunately, many readers are not even aware of it.

I use the Bible, but only as half my argument to prove the Bible. The other half would be outside sources.

I use the Bible as HALF my argument to prove God.
The other half would be outside sources.

I get what your saying, and again, I agree with you, I think that, when speaking to someone who does not hold the Bible as 100% true and from God, we cannot use the Bible, and just say "Well, the Bible is 100% true" because that person will not believe it, they will probably laugh at it.

I believe there is evidence of God, because I have seen evidence of God.
I believe that there is evidence of creation, because I have seen it, and with an open mind looked at it, and decided that it makes sense.
I have decided that there is evidence of the Bible being the inspired word of God, because I have seen it.
So I hold the Bible as 100% true and inspired by our God who 100% exists.

But you don't. You haven't seen the evidence, you haven't believed the evidence. So how would I prove God to you?
I would show you the same evidence that has convinced me, and I would talk to you and tell you WHY it convinced me, and maybe other things.

I am a unique individual I suppose, becuase alot of people don't see how important it is, and we have atheists pointing out that they are just laughing at us, and we can't think of anything better to say.

I try to think of something better to say, so that I can be in accourdance with 1st Peter 3:16 - always ready to give an answer.

Christians are not trying to offer prove of the existence of God. They know that he exist, with or without the Bible.

They are just trying to spread his message of Love.

Whatever word of truth and love you might find in the Bible, or in a man's mouth is the word of God. Because truth and love only come one single source.

Because out of love created God mankind, and not as slaves, but even to be served by Angels.

The Bible is only a book, but after more than 2000 years, of dust, burning, etc. it is still there. Adopted and read by Kings, same as by beggars. For that is his will that it remains till the end of the ages. The Old Testament for Judging Old Generation in purity or alterations of his scriptures, and the New Testament for judging New Generations.

And it is the Holy Spirit the one who leads men to understanding, and that to the level of understanding given to each man.
