Well… God is not a god of fear… He is a god who forgives… yet I must disagree when you say that “all sins are equally bad” yet if you were supposing that it is then is the answer… We are all made good… created from pure grace which in our live we tend to “accidentally” pour ketchup or soy sauce or any kind of dye… Before I continue try remember the original sin, the first stain in our spirits. If you can recall the original sin was because of the disobedience done by Adam & Eve… So a stain… The church teaches us the sacraments… such sacraments cleanses us & prepares us… The original sin- Baptism, Worldly sins- confession etc. Anyway lets continue with your question… Jesus thought ways to save yet it is not yet complete because we are not yet truly clean and the only way to be truly clean is to come back to him… And I mean that however grave our sins maybe… God is there to listen & help you… You just need to change & be sincere with it…

They are NOT all equal. Scripture never says this. There is something called the "Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" that is unforgivable, according to Jesus Himself!

All mortal sins can be forgiven.

With a conversion of heart through the Sacrament of Confession, the sinner can seek God's mercy and reinstate the state of grace that was previously obtained through the Sacrament of Baptism.

To be denied entry into the Kingdom of God, the sinner must:

1. Commit one or more sins of a grave matter;
2. Have full knowledge that the sin(s) is a mortal sin;
3. Voluntarily consent to commit the sin;
4. Reject the grace of God;
5. Reject the mercy of God by refusing to confess his sins through the Sacrament of Confession and Absolution.

April, when Jesus took away the sins of the world, it changed something fundamental in the way God deals with people.

all sin was dealt with on the cross. But God either has to give you salvation, a gift, or he must pay you the wages of your labor.

key point, April, he gives you salvation or pays you for your work on earth.

if you accept Jesus, then you are rewarded, again a gift

but if you don't, then God pays you your wages and the wages of sin is death.

the bible states in romans that you store up wrath against the day of wrath and the revelation of the righteous judgement of God.

To understand this, if you have kids, they as small kids mess up and you correct them. They grow a little bit and start to argue with you about how they are right, but you see it differently.

why would you expect to see things from God's perspective about right and wrong and punishment when you can't see things from your parents perspective when you are a child and definately of the same nature and essence as your parents.

salvation it to whomever will ask, hell is to them that don't

The Bible says that if you do not repent of your sins and accept Christ as your Savior, then you will go to hell. But yes, there is also a passage in the Bible that says all sins are equally bad.

All sins are not equal.

But, even the smallest sin is breaking the law. If you are guilt of breaking just one law, then you are guilty of breaking all laws.

But, even yet, you are not under the law-unless you are a very old Jew.

If people went to hell for sin, then yes, we would all go.

But, no one goes to hell for their sin. They go to hell for rejecting God's forgiveness for their sin.

First of all, Jesus paid the penalty for ALL sins when He died on the cross. One of the Bible's most comforting truths is that we can know beyond a shadow of doubt that we will go to heaven when we die. The Bible's promise is meant for every believer: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure" (Hebrews 6:19).
Unfortunately, many people have professed their faith in Christ; they have been active in their church; they may truly believe the facts of the Gospel. But they have failed to understand one crucial truth, and it is this: Our salvation does not depend on how good we are, but solely on Christ and what He has done for us.

In God's eyes, we are all guilty, because we all have sinned and broken His laws. But we can't erase our own guilt—nor can we win God's favor by balancing out our bad deeds with our good deeds. The reason is because God is absolutely pure and holy, and even one sin is enough to keep us out of heaven.

But that is why Christ came into the world. He came for one reason: to take away our sins by His death on the cross. We deserve to die for our sins, but He died in our place. He paid the price for our sins—not part of them, but all of them! This is why the Bible says, "He who has the Son has life" (1 John 5:12). Trust Christ alone for your salvation. The Bible says, "And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may KNOW you have eternal life" (1st John 5:11-13)

No, there are two types of sins:

Venial and Mortal.

A mortal sin on your soul will send you to Heaven.

A venial sin can lead to a mortal sin, but It'll send you to Purgatory.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will remove all the sins you confess to the priest.

April, remember Hel is the daughter of Loki. Get Greek and Norse mythology out of your mind. Believe me, its hard. Hel is a myth. You either inherit eternal life or eternal death. Shalom. Study Torah.

James 2:10 - For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

That verse says that by committing just ONE sin, we are guilty of them all.

Romans 6:23a - For the wages of sin is death

That verse tells us that by committing sin, we deserve to die - not physically, everyone does that, but spiritually, having to spend eternity in Hell.

THANKFULLY...

Romans 6:23b - BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

God made a way for us through Jesus, that if we accept His gift of salvation, we will have eternal life with Him in Heaven!
