It sure does me, lol. I feel strange and feel like I am doing strange things which I think I am. I am a waitress and I feel all weird, my customer's talk to me and I feel like i'm saying all kids of weird things. I find weird things funny too. I just start laughing at things and people are like wtf???? I just got back on it but atleast it is already helping numb the depression.

You need to tell your Dr. this.

On a second note....
I like the pic. You are a very pretty woman. Please take that as a genuine complement. NOT a come-on. I am a very happily married man with a beautiful daughter. So you can rest assured that this is just a genuine complement. :-)

I have taken Effexor XR for a long time... We're talkin' maybe 10 years. And it doesn't do that to me. It has at times when I take a strong dose becuase of added stress, makes me unable to concentrate as well... like if I want to read of something I just can't do it..

But it doesn't make me feel strange. If those symtoms continue over time. Like 60 days, I would advise you to talk to your doctor about using something else. There are so many different options out there. Effexor isn't the only med you can take...

I LOVE Effexor. I have taken it on and off for 6 years. When i don't take it I am so damn depressed I don't want to get out of bed. When I first start taking it (about the first 2-4 weeks) I have the side effects (nausea, not being hungry, weight loss, feeling foggy)then I start feeling great. I can tell a complete difference in the way I feel on it and off it. I will not stop taking it again I LOVE it.

My daughter has been on that for almost 2 years, and is just now being put on Imipramine (which worked very well for her when she was younger). Effexor makes her tired, lethargic or sleepy all the time. Unfotunately, many physicians seem to use the medications first that pharmaceutical companies are pushing the most.

Antidepressants affect everyone differently. Effexor works very well for me; however, medications like this can indeed make you feel out of it. You also might be on too high a dose. You can switch your antidepressant to one in another category, like Wellbutrin. Talk to your doctor.

It doesn't make me feel 'out of it' at all and I take 300 mg. If anything, it makes me feel more 'with it' and I can think more clearly. You should probably talk to your doctor about that.

It did nothing but make me sweat & keep me from having orgasms. I wouldn't recommend it. Esp if you have BF!
