Daniel 4:16 talks about 'seven times'. Before verse 16 it talks about a mighty tree. This mighty tree was cut down. The tree symbolizes God's Kingdom. It would remain cut for 'seven times'. Now, a Hebrew historian who lived in the first century AD Ιωσηπο considered these seven times to be seven years.
So, one year had 360 days back then right? The Biblical rule of a day equaling a year (Ezekiel 4:6,7 see also Numbers 14:34) we multiply 360 by 7 and get 2.520 days or years.
Daniel said that the tree was cut down when Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians in 607 BCE. Jerusalem was God's chosen city. So count. From 607 BCE 2.520 years. 607 BCE to 1 AD is 606 years. That leave 1.914 years to go. Which gives us the date 1914. In Matthew chap 24 Jesus describes the signs of him coming. Remember what happened in 1914.

I have heard a lot of people say that the year 2012 is when he will return. On account of the Myan Calender and what not. I have heard one religion say that when the temple is built in Palmyra. I have heard the same religion say that there Prophet Gordan B. Henkley will be alive when he returns. Obviously no-one knows. And if your Atheist. Then you dont believe in Jesus anyway. So you would obviously not know when he will return. So the answer to this Question is...... NO ONE KNOWS.

He said before some of the people who were talking to him died.

Mark 9:1
NIV: And he said to them, "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power."
KJV: And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Being that they've all been dead for thousands of years now...

hrm.

What do you call a prophet who says something that doesn't come true...? Oh yes, a FALSE PROPHET.

What? Okay, Jesus never said WHEN he was returning, he just said to look out for the signs. I'm not really sure what you're looking for in this answer, but you can contact me if you have any more specific questions.
