April,
I am not offended by Christianity but I am offended by a number of people who "Claim to be Christians". I am a Christian and I do not believe in throwing rocks at people. I try to be very open minded and not attack people over their beliefs. I try to honestly answer questions about any subject that I know and understand. I also become enraged when people throw rocks at others no matter what their beliefs. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

I am Jewish. I can relate to being offended. If any religion becomes the only religion then that is wrong. Some Christians and some other religions believe that their way is the only way to live. You are expected to live up to their standards of life. You are ridiculed if you do not see the light. Why are you wrong and I am right? Why don't you understand? But Jesus loves you! You will go to hell if you are not saved! That is not a Christian thing to do. Come to my church and you will see the error of your ways. But your religion is not a true religion. The time of your religion has past, come see what is now. How can you believe in abortion? Why not be part of the majority?
I have had all those statements thrown at me. I never try to convert anyone, I never run through supermarket parking lots to pass out pamphlets, and I never stick notes on mail boxes telling you to go to my church. I do not believe in Jesus. I do not want to be baptized. I do not want to be saved. What I do want, when it comes to religion, is to be ignored.
Generally my rules are not to argue (I can discuss) religion, abortion, and politics. Once someone makes there mind made up there is no way to get them to change.

I'm not offended by the religion, but I do have a problem with some of the people that practice it and try to force it on others.

In short, yes I am. I would go into detail but I would need all day. And since I have class in a half hour I cannot. But all I will say is that it's a religion that makes no sense and people always claim its about being friendly to everyone but I see it as a very hateful religion and its clear as day in the pages of their precious little Bible.

as a Christian ... YES, at times
- When I visited Israel, and and heard of the destruction at the time of the Crusades
- Visiting the Holocaust museum there, with Christians turning a blind eye to Jewish transportation (the Dutch were a shining exemption as a nation - they helped a lot)
- When I hear of protests about a Mosque being built in a Christian area ...
... but that is only because bigoted Christians don't live up to Christian ideals.

Not at all!!! i believe that everyone have their own beliefs and no one should feel offended by another, be it Christianity, Islam, Catholics, and so on. I just really dislike some people that tries to force upon you their religion!!! That's not kool...

I'm not offended by Christianity. I am a Christian. I'm offended by right-wing fundamentalist wackos that want to tell everyone what to do. Those people like Pat Robertson, James Dobson, and the late Jerry Falwell who have sided with those who start unnecessary wars which have killed over 100,000 people. Who sit back and support torture, secret prisons, the dismantling of our constitution, and abandonment of programs to help the poor, the sick, and our children. Those who spew hatred toward gay people and have relaxed regulations allowing the destruction of our environment.

I am offended by the extreme narrow-mindedness of some people calling themselves Christians. Aren't we supposed to be accepting of each other? and the differences that make us individuals? It seems to me that many who call themselves Christians are very critical of others.

Should we be ??? it is not the religion that offends most people it is some of the practitioners who push it on them!
To be offended by an idea is to let the idea control you!
