I've seen it on TV last night.. yea, it's way too expensive.
I'd rather buy a gallon of ice cream, a box of my fave chocolates while wearing a 24K gold jewelry and it's still not worth half of the price for that dessert. Even if I got the dough I still won't go for it. It's very impractical to buy something like that. <*-*>

Obviously a good chunk of this is going for the gold and diamond bracelet and gold spoon and whatnot.

Look at it this way, the world needs more ways to suck money out of the super rich, otherwise they'd just invest the money and keep getting even richer.

I agree with the second person who mentioned about the people who can't afford to eat. Unfortunately there are some very wealthy people out there who don't care how much money they spend. They'll probably end up writing it off on their taxes as a business dinner.

There is a $600 drink in a bar in Ireland I am still trying to figure out. Some people have more money than brains.

Agreeing with answerers two and three...and even more disgusting, how many wealthy celebrities will eat this just to say they have and then speak out against world hunger or some other poverty. Now THAT's what I call disgusting.

is this the same place that has the $50 hamburger that is crazy. anyone who pays 25 grand for dessert should be sent to Africa to see what they eat.

Well, you get to take home the gold-and-diamond goblet and the gold spoon. So, that mitigates the insanity.

Still, rather disgusting that people can afford this while others can't eat.

A friend mentioned this to me last night (I'd not heard about it). It's grossly insane...there isn't any food on the planet (without it being enormous amount of servings) worth that. *rolls eyes*

If I had 25k just laying around, I sure as heck wouldn't blow it on dessert. It is a ridiculous thing.
