I admire christians and I kind of consider myself on the loop. I think christianity is good for moral values and spreading about GOD.
I am not understanding maybe, yet for the ten commandments why do people pick and choose what is what. Like thou shalt not lie, thou shalt not cheat thou shalt not steal. these ARE apart of the ten commandments. Why do people continue with disobeying it? Yet these same people are against lesbians and gays which is a hypocracy in itself don't you think? i'm not gay but I wonder what you think.
Just wondering. not trying to fight i want a decent argument please no GOD made adam and eve not adam and steve, GOD also made other animals that are nothing like us. We can not procreate with them maybe we can i dont want to know but the point is.Things evolve don't they. just as man.

Nobody is perfect lol that was my point. You can not judge? well what about all the christians judging the homosexuals for what they do. That was my question it wasn't about how everyone should be its for the people who consider themselves so untouchable yet are the ones to point a finger. I didn't mean evolve and in evolution. thanks for pointing that out lol.

It's true that many single out homosexuality as the "great sin" and forget that some of the common everyday things we all engage in - gossip - lying - harboring bad thoughts about someone - etc, are also spoken against in Scripture, nevermind the other admonitions you mentioned.
The thing is, most of those who commit these other "transgressions" don't try to make them sound as if they're actually good and right. That's really what the big controversy is about (or should be anyway). Bottom line, we should never continually try to justify the same sin or deny that it IS sin. "Woe to those who call good, evil and evil, good."

If Christians lie and cheat, it is certainly wrong.
Many Christians view homosexuality as wrong, against God's moral law. Many have the viewpoint that we should love the sinner but hate the sin.
and no, man did not "evolve". Man was created as it states in Genesis chapter 1-2.
god bless

James 1:22 " But be ye doers of the word , and not hearers only , deceiving your own selves ". On Gays .... Romans 1:24 - 32....1 Corinthians 6:9 - 11....Jude 7. If we evolved , why isn't there step by step evidence of evolution ?

The truth behind Christianity?
An empty tomb.
As to why we continue in disobedience? We're human! That's pretty much the other truth behind Christianity. We all fall short of the glory of God and need a Savior.

It seems that a lot of them pick and choose what to believe, as you try to point out. Those that do so have yet to find the truth in question.
You can find God without reading the bible. If they did that then they would automatically do what was right.

We don't try to follow Christians. We try to follow Jesus.
There are no perfect people. We come to Jesus just as we are and He gives us the Holy Spirit who starts purifying and refining us. We quit our sins because we love Jesus and hate sin because Jesus hates sin. When we see Jesus, then we will become perfect as He is perfect. As long as we are in this old sinful body of flesh, we are capable of sinning.
When you have the Holy Spirit within you it will become hard to be a lesbian, gay man, living in sin outside of marriage as many men and women do because this is fornication. Divorce is wrong and divorce should be a matter of, if you divorce, staying single until your mate dies. In otherwords if you are so desperate to divorce your partner, then you should know in the eyes of God it is best to stay single and not remarry and commit adultery.
Christians divorce like they change furniture. Some keep furniture longer than they do their spouse. Their hearts are not right with the Lord. In Revelation, Jesus said if you are lukewarm He will spew you out of His mouth.
We all sin and come short of the glory of God, but some do not even try to obey God's Word and call themselves Christian. Lord have mercy upon us because we are sinners The only difference in a Christian is they believe in Jesus and they've been forgiven. But they can't stay baby Christians because if they do they can fall away. Christians need to become mature Christians and in doing so they will hate sin in every form. They will hate sin because Christ hates sin, but they will love the sinners. They will help the lost come to know Jesus. They will be asking the Holy Spirit every day, "If there is sin in me, make it known, so I can deal with it."

If you follow the Ten Commandment of the Old Testament, why not follow the rest of it as well? It IS hypocrisy, and the same people who spew out such a hateful name for Christan's, and yes seem to think they're going up, will be going down if they are telling the truth (that there IS a Christian God.) If not, then they'll just poof, and we won't have to worry about them anymore...
Hope this helps! ^_^

Religion does not evolve, that's the problem.
its easier to preach outmoded dogma than to admit the world and man has changed massively in the last 2000 years.
eg. The Islamic World has stagnated and now tries to force its disciples to live in a world that no longer exists.
Man needs to grow and evolve not regress.

The point is, is that the Bible has nothing except for locations and civilizations as evidence of its trustworthiness. There is no evidence or independent collaboration of the miraculous events it records. To assume that you should base your morality off of it, is similar to basing your morality off of the Mayan culture.

It is not your place to judge others for what they think, feel or do. The truth behind Christianity is Jesus Christ. Don't look for a human being to be perfect, I am not and neither are you. Jesus is the only one who is perfect. You can believe that or not..........free will, ya know.
