Widows Vista photo gallery Has Stopped working, Please help,?

I am using Windows Vista and the windows photo gallery keeps failing to open my pictures,, The first time it had stopped working and I done a system recovery and it worked fine for about two weeks and then stopped working again,, Has anyone else out here in answer land had the same issues with Vista?? And if so how did you fix the issue?? Thanks much my friends.....Returning to the soon extinct windows XP is not an option... Thank you

I thought that I should add here that the photos im trying to open are the shortcuts on my desktop as well as in my pictures folder, They are the jpg format,

chances are, your vista OS is only a BETA version, I think you should upgrade. Probably, it's because the pictures you were trying to view are not compatible with vista...

in case you merely upgraded to vista you may might desire to replace your drivers to be vista nicely suited. additionally if I bear in mind ideal vista does not help 16bit application anymore so as that could desire to be a situation for older video games. additionally the different video games themselves is probably no longer nicely suited with vista. i could bypass to the interest website and notice if there's a downloadable patch. desire this helped you.
