Dear God,

I'm writing to say I'm sorry for being angry yesterday. When you seem to ignore me and things did not go my way.

Tell me have you ever thought that God was not listening?

No is an answer God tell us. We don't want to hear it and we usually think that we are being ignored...but He answered us.

There are three answers to prayers:

Yes
No
Wait for my perfect timing.

God hears our prayers...all the time!

Actually no, HOWEVER, I know many people in their quest for God do feel this way. God does things in His time so as to keep all in line with His divine plan for us, and HOW we will mentor others.

God always listens and cherishes ALL of us.
Try Psalms 42 and 43 for your discouragement.

Of course , we all go through stages of growing in the Lord and the feeling of being left is part of that. The more joyous is the feeling when you ask Him to forgive you and things are rolling again.

GOD IS ALWAYS there, He always hears, but he knows your intent better than you do. No one can force God to answer in any type of way. He answers unexpectedly when the your heart leads the way of truth and sincerity. There is always a reason why God does what it is and how He does it.

God is always listening even tho we think it is not fast on the answer God gave us trials to go threw It builds are faith to trust in him. yes I have thought that and he has surprized me and answered so many times . Anger is alot to do with our selves to be angry like that to question Gods being there . is our lacking in his love in our lives he is there in all we do . god gave us free will and in that he lets us handle the trials until we humbly ask him to help . when you see one set of foot prints he is holding you and loving you threw it all take care. and God Bless.

Of course. Everybody goes through periods of aridity in their prayer live. The key is to do as St. Paul admonished us to do: "Pray without ceasing". That means to say your Daily Office without fail, even if your don't feel like it or feel abandoned. Being regular (from the Latin "regula" for "rule") in your prayer life is the key.

I think gods always listen, but they may not always give you the reply you are hoping for or expecting.

This was a devotional story I once ran accross - it has always helped me:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There once was a young man who was deeply troubled about his life. He believed in God, but lately it seemedhis prayers were not even getting beyond the ceiling.
The man was frustrated and feeling abandoned when he prayed, "Just let me know you're still there, please Jesus?"and slipped into bed.
Not long after falling asleep, the man began to dream.
In the dream he found himself in a enormous darkened warehouse. The sound his footsteps made were lonely and hollow as they echoed back at him from the darkness.
"Hello!? Is anyone here?" he called.
Suddenly, Jesus stepped out of the darkness and greeted the man.
"Oh, Lord!" cried the man as he fell to his knees, "I thought you had forgotten about me!"
Jesus lifted the man to his feet and embraced him."Come with me." Jesus said.
The man turned to see three circles of light on the floor of the warehouse in the distance. He followed Jesus in the direction of the first circle of light.
As they approached, the man saw a young woman kneeling in the lighted circle. She was praying and rejoicing. While the young man watched, Jesus entered the circle, pulled the girl to her feet and embraced her. Her eyes lit at the sight of Christ, and she embraced Him with laughter and tears of joy. They spoke for a while, then Jesus smiled, touched her face and stepped out of the circle. The young woman went back to her knees and continued to praise God as Christ and the man walked away.
"You must really love that girl." said the young man (with only a touch of jealousy).
"Yes, my son, but understand, she is a very new Christian. She is just learning about Me and how to put her trust in Me. I have to give her a lot of care and attention right now as she begins to grow as a Christian."
Soon Jesus and the man came to the second circle of light.
Here was a man kneeling crying and praying. Jesus entered the circle and sat down next to the man and listened carefully to his prayer. It was obvious that he was grieving. When he finished praying, Jesus put His hand on the man's shoulder and squeezed. The man looked up into the face of Jesus, smiled and thanked Him. Jesus stood, shook his hand and left the circle of light.
As the young man followed Jesus to the last circle he asked Jesus, "Why did you not hug him like the girl?"
Jesus answered,"He has been a child of God for some time now. He only needs occasional reassurance that I love him, but I am teaching him to rely more on his faith than his feelings. He is learning feelings can be deceptive, and that no matter what feeling he experiences - I am still with him."
When Jesus came to the third circle, He stopped at the edge of it. The young man saw an older woman praying beside her bed. It was obvious that she had been through a great deal and her heart was quite broken. She was praying out her heart to the Lord.The young man listened and his own heart became grieved listening to her prayer. He didn't understand why Jesus didn't just dive in there and hold her in His arms. He looked at Jesus face and saw tears. When the woman was through praying, she stood and began singing a hymn as she slowly walked away.
"Why don't you go after her? Hug her? Comfort her?!!!" demanded the young man.
"My son," Jesus answered, "This daughter has learned that I am always near and will always answer her prayers. She lives completely on faith and no longer requires my constant touch. She is content in the knowledge that I will never leave her nor forsake her. My love for her is no different than My love for the young woman or the man - or for you, My child. Her faith cannot be shaken by circumstance or emotional state. She has found perfect peace in trusting completely in Me.
Always remember that I am with you always, even to the end of all time. You may not feel Me close at all times, but NEVER let it cause you to doubt. Learn to trust in your faith instead of your feelings. Feelings can sometimes lead you astray.
I will be there to squeeze your shoulder or hug you at times when I know you really must have it, but never give up your faith just because there are times you can't tell I'm there. I am always here for you. I will always hear you. I will always answer your prayers."
He hears all our prayers, but like any good parent, he knows whats best for us. Sometimes it's not till later that we realize he saved us from something that could have hurt us.
