We can best answer that within ourselves as the spirit is the immortal godly part of us and the flesh is the nongodly(no, not necessarily bad/evil part of us) mortal part of us. Humans were given free will as part of the God force. Humans used their free will to stray from the God force and enjoy all manners of pleasures of the flesh. We became locked in this and, therefore, must find our way back to, and become one, with the God force. Once this is achieved, there will be no need to be bound by the physical-no, suicide is not an option to achieve this and will, in fact, extend our learning cycle in the physical as a part of Karma.NOTE: I DO NOT BELIEVE GOD IS A DIVINE DIETY OR THAT THE DEVIL IS AN EVIL DIETY.I DO BELIEVE IN ONE FORCE(POSSIBLY INTELLIGENT) WITH TWO SIDES. The more science and religion I become aware of, the more I realize the laws of God, nature , and science are one and the same-i.e-religion-we are all points in God, nature-all objects are a manifestation of some force, science-Unified Field Theory-particles of energy making up an all encompassing energy. An interesting note here, purely speculative, the "Big Bang " theory is slowly giving way to the "Rubber Band" theory-expanding-contracting solar system(interestingly like a giant heartbeat).I am reminded of an symbolic episode on the original "Star Trek" series where the Enterprise(Devil) crew encounters this planet where a Baal(God), a diety provides everything(Eden) for its inhabitants(Adams/Eves), including new inhabitants(no sex) in return for worship and food. Baal does not want interference from the Enterprise crew and sets out to destroy them. The crew succeeds in destroying Baal and the inhabitants must learn to fend for themselves and create their own replacements(sex).Who is God and who is the Devil are left to the audience's viewpoint(a relative judgement). I am also reminded of an Eastern quotation(can not recall the author)-A river can either quench a dry desert or flood an enriched region, but whether it is good or bad, is left to the observer, again, relative terms.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.
If someone hurts you, betrays you , or breaks you heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.

You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

God created us because He loves us- I have never questioned that. The love I feel- has helped me through the darkest and happiest times. I'm here to love and serve Him, but also live, love and help others. I have a good family, I love my job- I teach school, everyone that knows us, knows call anytime and we'll be there to help- flat tire, whatever. All are friends are the same way toward us. I love this life- because I also know I have an even better one waiting on me after this life on earth. :)

God didn't create us. We are a product of evolution through the process of natural selection. We have spawned a consciousness capable of asking deep seated questions like "why are we here?". It could just as easily have been a planet with no intelligent animals capable of thinking in this way. Animals such as ourselves live to procreate and contribute to the cycle of life by passing on genes and information. With our super-intelligently evolved brains, we now have the option of taking things a step further and use our lives to produce art or music, contribute to society, culture and language, technology, science, medicine and exploration and the pursuit of new knowledge and wisdom that will be in turn passed on to future generations.

Fictional Deity's have nothing to with life or living.

Why create more angel's to replace the ones than Satan turned against GOD in Heaven ?

Maybe GOD created us in this flesh and in this place, and lets the Devil weed us out. Who will chose GOD and who will chose the Devil ?

We are here to take on the challenges, and problems of this world, and make it a better place. In doing so, we can bring out all facets of our personality, abilities, and spirit to the fullest. God wants us to make this world a better world.
