thanks ahmad,

I've been searching this verse in the Quran,

;)

18. And (both) the Jews and the Christians say: "We are the children of Allâh and His loved ones." Say: "Why then does He punish you for your sins?" Nay, you are but human beings of those He has created, He forgives whom He wills and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allâh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; and to Him is the return (of all).

Yes, why not ?
You Singularity also the son of God. This term in Islam is "habibullah" - everybody may be call the God as his/her father which very much loving you all the time at all the places.

If everybody call the God - Allah the only God - this is not because they are all realy be borne by the God Allah the only one. We are all created by The Most Creator - Allah.

So, Father, is a just beloved name in our heart for Allah.
Allah has about 100 beloved name for us to call him every time we like. Call the God with his beloved name : may be "Father ... Let us know every right path that we must now and give us the power to walk on".

As-Salamun alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

We Christian have this believe in one baptism, by baptism our original sins are forgiven, and we become an adopted sons and daughters of God because we believe in Jesus Christ who became man once upon a time to reconcile us to his Father, so as an adopted sons and daughters of God we have then the right to call HIm as our Father.....If you wish to find a thorough biblical proof of this, will you be kind enough to read the Bible specifically the Gospels and the letters of St. Paul...

Because God is the Father of all living things. But whoever curses the father is not longer a son, and whoever loves evil is not longer a son. For God is love. And that is the testimony we have in him, that those who love him (Jesus, who the world has seen) He will love them and keep them as children.

For in the flesh we are one and the same, but in the spirit, it is the spirit that calls the Holy Father's justice the one that is one with God, and with Jesus.

I saw a documentary of a young girl hanged for alleged prostitution in Iran, She was only 16. And my spirit felt sorry for her. Prostitution is not a good thing, but in most cases is the result of Social economic injustice. A girl must do that to make a living while the Sultans enjoy a Mansion with many wives. Believe me they are worst than the many Jews, because at least they did not take Jesus name in their mouths to replace him with another name's doctrine.

For in account to the Jews who is responsible for the sheep is the Shepperd, of whom Jesus was instituted Shepperd and High Priest, and He, speaking for his herd (Jewish and Gentiles) he said: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do".

So the Jewish were forgiven in Jesus, if they want to believe it. But I think not those responsible for the herd, the replaced Shepherds and High Priest.

It's only an expression, christians consider god as their father because god created them. In Romania people adress to priests with the word "father" as well. It's a symbol of authority

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.

Insha'Allah, an excellent post and good question. Sadly, the replies form the Christians show what little knowledge they have of their very scriptures that they claim. Reading translations of translations of translations ad infinitum and in the non-original language, etc, leads to such confusion.

To "Death from Above", I wonder, my friend, how many languages you are fluent in? Singularity is working on at least two.

Ma'a salaam.
