Faith is a belief in something without proof.
Religion is a way of controlling the masses by priests and governments for their own gains.

There are all kinds of religions. They may not all rely on the same amount of Faith, but most deal with the spiritual realm of reality, which depends on intuition to sense what is true. Religion is an institution, that is concerned with connecting to God or the spiritual, and sets up a system of morality. Faith is a belief in this religion. This faith can be brought on by a confidence, that your life has improved as a result, of being part of and practicing a religion.

Faith can be of 2 types: material faith( when someone believe in something) and spiritual faith (when someone had realised something by him/herself).

Religion or yoga, means to connect or already be connect with God.

So, since there is the material faith , made of believes and dogmas and all kind of craps , sentimentalism, etc, in the same way is the religion based in this type of faith.

The real religion is just one and universal, the religion of the soul.

I am glad we have one dictionary, otherwise we would have 50m different versions.

Faith has 2 base definitions, one belief in something without evidence and against probable odds AKA Belief in god with no provable measures.

#2 Faith in something without 100% evidence but base accuracy in probability dictates a likely "faith" AKA "I have faith my car will start" I have cranked my car a million times and 97% of the time it started, I can test it, I can re-test, etc. so my faith is justified.

These are 2 bases of blind faith VS faith (all religion is blind faith)

Religion has one base sole definition which is the belief in a sky daddy or mommy, or parents, or group.

Religion is basically blind faith redefined.

Lastly, to you nutters, Religion has nothing to do with groups. Ever heard the term "Organized Religion"? Definition in basic: Gathering together, in a group, people who are religious.

Faith and religion are not the same.

Faith is belief. Faith is confidence in things that are unseen. Faith is trust in something that seems extremely uncertain to other people.

Religion is the collection of understandings about who God is and what he wants, how to worship him and how to live your life.

Religion can be made by either God or man. A religion is a system of worship. Obviously God wants an ordered system otherwise he would not have given us laws to obey.

The religion God made is good unlike what others claim. This is what the Bible has to say about religion specifically:

"If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless." - James 1:26

Obviously then if you are a person who is in general careful about what they say, as opposed to careless, careless as in "who cares how God wants me to think and talk" and if you care about people who are trying to get relief from great suffering or to keep their family from great suffering, you have a religion that is valuable in God's eyes.

Faith means trust. A system of worship and trust is not the same thing.

I do not like the word religion. As some belong others don't. But everyone, don't care who they are, has faith in something or other.

Other people may have their own definitions of religion, but I think religion is not faith.Religion is following a set of rules, ceremonies, and such in the thought that practicing these rituals will somehow make god approve of you.Religion is the rituals,"magic words",ceremonies.Faith is believing that such ritual and ceremony impress an almighty God

They are totally different all together. Religion is a system of beliefs. Faith is believing in that system or another system of beliefs.
