Thanks for reading....

I know some people may say it doesn't exist, but I really believe I'm addicted to pornography. Most of the time that I have alone at home I spend looking at it, and I even give in and look at work rather frequently. I know I'm putting my job and my relationship on the line, but I can't make myself stop. Even as I'm about to pull something "dirty" up at work, I'm consciously telling myself to stop, and forcing myself to think of the consequences....what would happen if I lost my job....but I can't make myself stop.

Are there any websites you could suggest that might be able to help? Beyond that, what else could I possibly do? I'd rather not see a doctor or therapist, as my significant other likes to pry, and there really isn't a way I could get this fixed through a doctor or therapist without her finding out.

Thank you again, and I look forward to reading your replies!

Im pretty sure you can search on yahoo for PA? An addiction is an addiction and nothing works better than an aa or pa group. If you really want to stop you need to take away from yourself the things that are helping you do it. I would tell your gf so maybe she can help you stay away from the computer. Put a password on it and basically keep you away from it. As for work they probably already know. I would find a new job that doesnt allow you to work on a computer and pretty much start all over. If you are really serious about stopping then channel all the porn energy into stopping yourself. Im not saying it will be easy and you will stop but eventually I think you will be able to. It is really about communication and not hiding it so the people around you can help you also. Good Luck.

I don't know what to tell you except that I understand what you are going through. I used to hate porn and don't like my boyfriend watching it (feels like I am not enough for him) so I tried to watch it so I could see if I could watch with him and now I occasionally watch while he is at work! But I still don't like him watching it!?! Go figure. What stops me is thinking that my dead relatives can see what I am doing so out of shame I don't do it! What ever helps right?!?!

Whoa! That's weird. Since I have been in a relationship, I hardly look at it at all. The thought of my lover alone is all the porno I need. I'd have thought you could just delete it all, but other than that I don't know what to suggest.

maybe you are lonely or want some love comfort but are going about it the wrong way, maybe your not happy and have been hurt, you need to sort your life out so you are happier, sex alone never made anyone happy, just only for very short time its addiction pray ask God.
