i cant boot my pc (is it the right term? "boot"???). whenever i turn it on, nothing follows the black screen with "windows xp" logo, which is suppose to be a blue screen with "welcome".
i tried to reinstall my OS, but in the process, i got stucked with "seaching for previous version of microsoft windows"
what's happening? what can i do?
im using windows xp SP2

maybe the one u r using is pirated or wat??

At startm up when it says press delete and go to bios then alter the cammand to boot off the cd. load cd in drive that is your original xpsp2 and allow it to go all the way to install widows or repair go to R repair and type at the prompt repair boot the press y as asked then if you remove the cd quickly it will boot up and then it should do a system repair and be ok.~~

If your WindowsXP installation disk is an upgrade version, then you need to have Windows ME or 98 version installed first.

could have blown mother board or got a viris
