Surely now would be a great time to be doing them, but all we seem to get is Jesus's face in a slice of bread. Nothing that has been filmed, of tested, of proven to be miraculous. Why is that? When we were far more privative we got loads. Isn't that strange?

The age of miracles is gone.
This is the age of science & technology. ANYONE can perform a "miracle" today, with the help of science.
Thus, a religion which has scientific facts and proof is reliable, not the saints and holy men.
Thats found in the Qur'an.
If you dont believe this, find out for yourself!
We are humans, we have minds. Lets use them.

Becuase miracles come from God and society is gradually trading God for science,so we dont see as many miracles

The miracles arnt gone;they are just few in number becuase we are no longer a Godly or God first society

We could have God and Technology;but we must understand the differences and uniqueness of the two;and most people arent willing to do that.

No, it is not strange at all when you think about it.

Think about the culture we live in today.
We are more advanced. We have a million theories and reasons and marvels that we have created. Why would we be impressed with a miracle?

Would we even know a miracle if we saw one?

Think about it. Every life that is saved because of modern medicine is a miracle.
Back in biblical days they didn't have that technology.
If someone healed a person with cancer, we could just as easily say, well, that was because of his medicine.
Or, any Dr. could have healed that issue of blood. Any Dr. could have brought that person back from the dead, we'd just use a defibrillator.

The more advanced we get, the more confidence we get in ourselves to be able to solve anything or fix anything.
Our eyes are so clouded and closed that even if a miracle was performed right in front of us, we would clap and cheer like it was a magic show and then we would go home and argue about if God really exists.

God doesn't want to have to jump through hoops to get us to believe. that is the point of faith.
In the Old Testament days, God shouted miracles from the rooftops, he was all over the places doing stuff!
But why was that? because the Jewish faith wasn't just based on faith, it was based on knowledge. Truly seeing God's presence and glory. They got to hang out with God on a daily basis!
Then what about the New Testament, Jesus did a bunch of miracles to prove he was the son of God, to get people to follow Him, and they did, and they formed the church.
And now, there are no miracles? Why, you ask?
Because God already jumped through hoops to show His people who he was, he already sent Jesus to jump through hoops to get people to follow and believe.
And when Jesus was on earth, he said "it is through grace, by FAITH, that you receive your salvation".
The whole point of faith is to have it.
Faith is belief in the unseen, without proof.

God doing a bunch of miracles would certainly prove his existence, and it would certainly bring people back to the church, but God doesn't want that. He already did that, He shouldn't have to do it again.
He wants people to trust Him through faith.
He gave us free will for a reason. Because we have a choice.

It's called tough love.

It wold be like if you had a rebellious teenager who would only listen to you if you gave her exactly what she wanted.

Say you gave her hat she wanted and she was good for a week.
But the next week she decided to break curfew. You came and yelled at her, and she said ok, I'm sorry, I'll listen ,if you just let me have this one thing, and so you give it to her.
And the next week, she does the same thing.
This cycle would continue on and on and on.
But do you think that child ever wold really respect you?
Do you think that child would ever really listen to you and follow you?
No.

It is the same with God. If God would keep dishing out miracles whenever He lost some sheep, sure those sheep would come back....but for how long until they wondered away again?
Those sheep that keep wondering away.....would they believe God existed if He would stop doing miracles? Probably not.
Where those sheep every really following Him to begin with, or where they just following Him because there was "proof", or were they just following the miracles?

Your not looking.

My good friend's child was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at 2.5 yrs old. His name is Alex. He had a 2% chance of survival. Through unending prayers and faith in Christ that He would touch him and heal him, so that when he gets older, Alex will have an amazing testimony to the glory of God...through prayers of thousands across the globe, God heard our prayers. 3 years later, Alex continues to be cancer free. Sure, he underwent many operations, radiation, chemo, etc. But, who do you think steadied the hands of the doctors, allowed the medication to do its work...God did. God gets all the glory. Even the primary oncologist said that Alex' recovery was a miracle.

The more advanced that man gets, the more man says look what I did. Miracles are done by God and yet man tend to say look what I did.
When the person's heart acknowledges that those things are God's work then miracles take place.

People don't see miracles because they aren't looking for them. God can do now what he did in Bible times. He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. People just need to humble themselves before God, pray asking God w/ a sincere heart for what they need. I can give you many instances of what I have seen w/ my own eyes. They'd cut me off before I was done. I'll list just one. One night we were in a meeting and people were praying for the Holy Ghost. A person took a picture of the crowd. In the picture you can literally see there are "Tongues Of Fire" above the heads of those receiving the Holy Ghost. Just as occurred @ Pentecost.See the book of Acts.

Miracles have been performed by the God Yahweh through His advanced scientific knowledge that human inferior scientific knowledge hasn't advanced enough to duplicate yet. One more proof of an "Intelligent Designer".

Hi. At the moment they are happening in Medjugorje. (Bosnia - Herzegovina) .Pre-requisites of miracles are a belief in God, an open mind, and accepting the possibility .I doubt you have any of these characteristics because your question reeks of sarcasm and you are not genuinely interested in miracles anyway. You are only after foolish answers to boost your ego.

It depends on what you mean by miracles. If you mean magic then look at the television set or mobile phones. Magic has become the norm and no longer seen to be magic.
