Many local garage's offer this service. You would have to look in your directory and call each and ask them if they offer. The one catch is that although they will inspect it, most will not offer you any warranty. If you buy a Manufacturer Certified Pre-Owned car, it will come with a warranty backing up the mechanic & dealerships claim to the vehicle condition.

You can help 'weed' through vehicles by evaluating the vehicles for yourself. This will help you save money by both limiting the amount of vehicle you want a mechanic to look at, but you can use them for negotiation tools.

The system is based off actual documents used in the industry today and the checklists cover most of the items included on a vehicle certification test. Good luck and I hope this helps. You can email me with direct questions through Yahoo.

A mechanic's inspection of a car will only actually take around an hour or less. The issue is scheduling the work, so expect to have the car there for about 1/2 day.

You want YOUR MECHANIC to be giving you an honest assessment of the condition of the working parts and engine.
And, yes, YOU PAY FOR IT. It is your report, and you are not obligated to share it. (but I often do)

If HIS MECHANIC did the assessment, and was dishonest about his report, you could be stuck with a "lemon"

Figure on around $100 for the work. He should tell you ahead of time what the charge will be.

Dont ever purchase a vehicle with "often happening issues" (the ABS and air bag lighting fixtures) until eventually you have adequate funds to repair the themes real away. confident a dealership will do an inspection for you. it rather is many times $ninety Blue e book fee on a 2000 Celica GTS with 110k on the odometer, in sturdy situation is 5,2 hundred... the motor vehicle is already often happening to not be in sturdy situation because of the fact it has 2 sprint lighting fixtures on, and has a prior accident. In my own opinion, in the event that they arent prepared to initiate speaking approximately cost at 3,000 funds, I wouldnt even hassle going to envision it. That air bag mild could very actually recommend the air baggage have been in no way replaced after the accident (this is around 500 funds consistent with air bag) or it may recommend the air bag gadget ordinarily has failed, which isn't decrease priced to repair. The ABS mild may be a normal sensor concern, or it may be something worse like decrease priced mismatched factors have been used to repair the motor vehicle after the accident. injuries indexed on Carfax is often a flag to enable you be responsive to to start taking 1000's off of the automobiles Blue e book fee

ASK THE SELLER TO TAKE IT TO YOUR MECHANIC AND BE THERE WHEN IT GETS THERE.

A COMPLETE VEHICLE INSPECTION FROM TOP TO BOTTOM WILL TAKE ABOUT 2 TO 3 HOURS IF DONE CORRECTLY AND SHOULD COST YOU AROUND $175.00.
