They (US Christians and Islamic Arabs) both believe they are the focal point AND opposing sides in an imminent global war that their patriarchal doctrines call 'Armageddon.'

Not only that, but a huge stroke of irony means that the world's largest accessible supply of oil is in the Middle East, at a time in history when we have made ourselves entirely dependent upon oil. There is also the small matter of Arabic terrorists in New York and American invasions in the Middle East.

Add to that the enormous racism/religious bigotry on both 'sides' directed at the other...

So, you could say there is friction, yes.

I don't hate the Arabs I know. And I can't hate the ones I don't know until I know them, and even then, only if they give me good reason to do so.

Ehhh... I believe them to be the minority really. I gots no issues with Arabs or anyone from the middle east as long as they allow others to live the way they see fit. But... I feel they should be welcome in my country as so many other countries seem to despise them so.
