No it will annotated as paid but remain for 7 years unless, before you pay it you get in writing that upon full payment of this debt they will remove any negative items from your credit report. If not as stated will only be marked 0 balance, but remain and will not increase your credit score.

Have you paid the debt yet? I ask because I own both a collection agency and a credit repair business. There is a way for you to have your cake and eat it too. Either way, you benefit from paying the debt off. I did notice that you used the plural form, debt(s). Even if you pay one off at a time, your going to be ahead. I want to emphasize, if you are in a position to now pay them off, get the most bang for your buck: paid if full collections, out of debt, possible deletions of bad credit on your credit report, increased credit score, and a new financial beginning. Yes, but not right away. The collections will remain on your report for a while but after a couple of years, they will be removed. That's better than never paying them off and having them there forever.
