The important thing is to show balance in your thinking. Sometimes, it is a good idea to confront problems, other times it is a good idea to surrender to them. Wisdom is knowing which direction is the appropriate one.

Since this question is in spirituality & religion, I am going to guess that you mean being wrong about such things. (?)
I usually don't pester anyone If I think I am right. If someone is going on & on about something and I think I am right and they are wrong, I will stand up for my belief but then I stop there! If the other person keeps it up, and I have to continue my defense, I will usually look into the matter! If I am the one to find myself wrong, then I humbly admit my error and move on.
If the other looks into the situation to prove the point and finds me wrong, I will respond in one of two ways depending on how they present their evidence.
If they present it in an unoffensive way, it usually leads to further discussion on the topic.
On the other hand if they come at me with the attitude of "I TOLD YA SO, naa naa na na!" I just want to knock their head off! (did i say that?) And I feel like it wasn't worth it to converse with the person about the subject, and that neither one of us really learned anything. Well except the right answer.
But if they have that I WAS RIGHT YOU WERE WRONG attitude, even that doesn't matter!
I like to know/admit when I am wrong, because I am learning something, and can learn more by doing so. Because the conversation goes on, and I can ask more questions.
There are times when I SHOULD just admit that I don't know!! But because of the person, I MUST be right. Do you ever do that??

I don't believe that there is an external right and wrong.
I never pester, I state and sometimes restate my case and search internally for what feels right and wrong to be guided by my inner sense of what is right and wrong for me.

Richard Dawkins and other prominent atheists can't convince people out of their religious beliefs, what makes you think you can? Most religious people set up their beliefs so they can't be disproved. They fix a false belief in their mind that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact. You can't convince the hard set Christians out of their beliefs only they can.

You can pester me until I die and you will accomplish nothing other than frustrating and annoying me, or you can back up your claims with verifiable empirical evidence and change my mind in 30 seconds

How many times will you ask this same question? Don't you realize yet that you can't change any ones mind?
