What does getting a tattoo on your wrist have to do with your gender? I've seen lots of guys do that. Where you put a tattoo says nothing whatsoever about your masculinity. Do what you like. At least your tat will be pleasant to look at -- unlike many I've seen. Do what you like; it's your body.

If you like the idea, go for it. Just don't rush it and find the perfect piece or get it customised.
Only warning I'd give is don't get anything done where you can't cover it if you need to (below the cuff or above the collar). Simple reason, some people just aren't accepting and this can cause them to not do business with you or just not deal with you.
Other than that, choose a great design, a great artist and go for it.
By the way, tattoo ink (if applied by a professional is non-toxic. A very small percentage of people may be allergic but such is life. If it were toxic I and alot of other people would now be dead.)

.man take it from someone who knows. don't get some lame *** tat off the wall.you will regret it .this is forever.if you are hell bent on getting one . put some thought into it .you want it to reflect who you are ,or an important milestone in your life.take your future into consideration, will it be an issue with you chosen profession or social situations? so placement is important. you are to young to let a tattoo determine anything about your future.don't get me wrong I love the tats I have .but I was wise enough to take some advise.rule of thumb ,if you would not hang it in your living room ,why would you put it on your body. so when you do this make it mean something.everything on my body is one of a kind.and describes different parts of my life don't be afraid to tell them what you want.if they have a problem with that ,find a new artist. it's on your body forever, not theirs

who would get dressed up for a birth of a child? I'd be furious that my husband was dressed up while I was in labor.
any ways.. if you want it on your wrist go for it. It's YOUR BODY, NO ONE not even your family can tell you what to do or where to put it.
but totally like the forearm/wrist area towards the side would be sweet for the design

My sons got one on their wrists to bond them as brothers, they are slightly different, but the same idea. Then again, they also have full sleeve tats..but no others near the wrist. I have one on each wrist and I am a medical professional. I am female, but I like them. If you worry about looking professional . get it done on the wrist that you wear a watch on, you can cover them up. although, my boys don't worry about it. I suppose it is different for women or men.

"Tats" arn't cool
think of yourself 10 years ago, you were an idiot. 10 years in the future you will think the same thing about yourself now. Would you want an idiot picking out a picture that is permanently etched in your skin?
