I laugh how people instantly think that Theresa is the spawn of satan since Jr. is leaving DEI. Do you guys honestly think that RCR would have teamed up with her if she were as jacked up as many of you think she is? Her and Jr. had a disagreement.....and they parted companies. Sure DEI is having equipment problems this year, but they're not the only team having them. The last I checked, DEI had a driver in the Chase and has won races this year. That says something about Theresa's ability to run a company. Dale Jr. even said it himself that she's not a bad person, they just couldn't come to terms.

ANYWAY, as far as the question goes.....I hadn't heard that. I can't see how a Chevy and Dodge team would be able to work together. I would think that the manufacturers would have serious issue with that.

It would be cool they could call it 7&7 racing but to be honest I don't think it wouldbe a good ides either. You have the petty team that really hasn't amounted to anything or shown a threat to win a race let alone a championship and TEI who has fallen by the way side because they were to arogant to get some help when they needed it.
Not to mention like the one person said that I doubt if the two different manufactures are going to work together anyway.
I like them both but it's a shame that The King couldn't get it his team going. As much as he has done for NA$CAR and he can't get a winner it. This move might help but I don't think you will see it this year.

As most have already said, you won't see a Dodge Team working with a Chevy team. Petty will be leasing the old Robert Yates shop with the intention to get better people to work on the cars. Also they already have a deal in place with Evernham Racing to supply engines and other info.

Now that JR is definitely leaving DEI I certainly hope the Petty's, especially Richard, wouldn't lower their standards to work with someone like Theresa Earnhardt.

It would be nice to see the Petty's getting their act together again, but what are the chances of Chevy and Dodge Teams working together.

Petty Enterprise is moving to Bill Davis Racing's old shop in Moorseville, so they can be closer to all the teams. I don't think that necessarily means they will be working with DEI, especially since they have contracts with separate manufacturers, but they will be where everything is happening.

Chevy and Dodge...don't think this will happen, I thought Petty and Gillette Everham were going to work together... Why would anyone want to work with TEI, unless they want some blown motors..

DEI & Childress Racing are working together.
As for a Dodge and Chevrolet....not likely.

To many manufacturer contracts would be broken.

Petty's have just announced that they are moving their shop to Mooresville NC. I'm sure we'll see them working with someone in the near future.
