if im an Adult, and i want to be confirmed... what steps must i go through first??

I suggest you contact a catholic church that you attend regularly about confirmation classes and when to register. If you have not been baptize then you will need to be baptize first as well as receiving first communion before even thinking about confirmation.
If you have been baptize and had your first communion already then the church will ask for proper copies of certificates of sacraments that you have completed before registering into a confirmation class.

The most important step you will ever take is inviting Jesus Christ into your life, and asking forgiveness for your sins, all of the reorganized stuff won't matter unless you have The Lord, The Son is The Only Way to The FAther.

You have to have been baptized, have had your communion, and your ...sorry, can't think of the word, where you confess your sins...you have had all of those before being able to be confirmed.
