Alcatraz in San Francisco is supposed to be haunted, as is the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. Alcatraz is a former maximum security prison and the Winchester House was built to ward off spirits. Here are links to a site with stories about the hauntings on Alcatraz Island and the Winchester House... http://www.prairieghosts.com/gpalcatraz.html, http://www.prairieghosts.com/winchester.html

I know of a few.
My sister's house is very haunted, though she denies it. I never saw a ghost there, but I sure did feel them. That house makes me VERY uneasy, whether I'm there during the day or night. It was built in 1908, and we don't know how or why it's haunted, but it is. My nieces and nephews have all seen ghosts there. My ex's best friend saw one of the same ghosts that my nephew saw: A little girl. When I felt her, the feeling was of purity, and light. She won't go to the other side though, she refuses. My nephew has tried to send her, but she won't go. I think it's because of the other spirits there, that AREN'T good.
My old house on 38th and D in Tacoma is haunted. I think the lady who lived there until the 1980s is the one who's haunting it. The house was built in 1928, and she was the only owner until her death in the 1980s. I talked to the son of the family who moved in after we moved out (he was good friends with my nephew, who lived down the street), and he told me about some of the things he noticed, that I had noticed too: Footsteps upstairs when no one was there, the sound of radio playing big band music, a woman talking (I think she was making a comment about a dress)...there were other weird things too. Things would sometimes fly across the room...and it was in that house that I sleepwalked for the first and only time.
Clover Middle School in Clover, South Carolina is purported to be haunted. In the days of segregation, it was the black childrens' elementary school.
The ruins of the old mental hospital outside Lakewood, Washington are haunted...everyone knows that.
I've heard Chicago has a lot of hauntings, and so does Athens, Ohio. There are also a lot up in the northeast section of the U.S.
I haven't really heard of any places being haunted in Germany, but there are lots of places in the U.K. that are purported to be haunted.
That's all I can think of right now.
