Seriously, if God came down and told you He was God would you believe him? Assume he didn't make a grand entrance with bright lights and trumpets of the heavens. What if He looked like an ordinary guy? Would you still believe he was God?

No, probably not. Maybe that's why Jesus spent a lot of time preaching and teaching and healing before he even suggested such a thing; and even then, it was only to those who knew him best; and even then, they didn't know what he was talking about. Jesus is a reasonable man, he doesn't expect people to be smarter than they are.

God is one of us— God is Jesus.

Jesus was an ordinary guy no one paid much attention to, until one day when the Prophet John proclaimed Him Messiah. There has never been a time like that, a whole civilization looking for a Savior. Must have been something to be there.

If he was an ordinary guy, then the chances are he wouldn't be a god. Makes no sense.

Not sure what it would take to convince me. Morgan Freeman made a pretty believable God.

No I wouldn't: unless they looked like Morgan Freeman and turned my five fingers into seven, and made me look like Clint Eastwood.

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on [him the nature of] angels; but he took on [him] the seed of Abraham.

SAME FLESH, BLOOD, AND NATURE

Nope, I have a drunk that claims to be God in my neighborhood. Later in the same day, he will claim to be the Lindburg baby.
