im pretty sure this is ok as the games bluray movies are region free

Some sources say (I think even in the manual) that it's better to download it from your home server. US and UK consoles have different regions, models and hardware. For example, PAL 60GB in UK has only one chip from PS2 (Graphics Synthesizer - it's PS2's GPU), while US NTSC U/C 60GB has 2 chips (GS and Emotion Engine - PS2's CPU).
