answer: lots greater probably that folk placed words interior the mouth of Jesus. No, the considered eternal torment does not exist in Judaism. Neither does the will for a savior, unique sin, a scapegoat, human sacrifice or divine messiah. All of that (different than the unique sin) have been pagan ideals. To sell the recent faith, Paul mandatory to make it something which could entice pagans and then scare them with talk of on the spot doom and threats of hell in the event that they did not connect. He took the religion to the pagan Gentiles because of the fact Jews found out Jesus wasn't a messiah (likely a rebellion against Rome, it rather is why he substitute into finished).

ha i like dave's answer...anyways i dont believe the mighty macabros is referring to hell as a place, but more as a situation. For example:bob is going through hell because he just lost his job and wife is having an affair.

edit:because if he IS talking about Hell the place, then yeah, I don't think you can find Heaven when you are non-stop burning it up in a lake of fire.

People don't see the point....

It doesn't matter about hell.. Think about it.

The life that you are living is not one that leads you to God, IF God exists.

Now think of that. IF THERE IS A GOD, do you want to draw closer to God or Not?

Now, if God is the source of all GOOD things, then obviously REJECTING GOD means rejecting ALL GOOD THINGS.

Even an IDIOT knows not to reject ALL GOOD THINGS.

So what is the problem here? THINK ABOUT IT.

Are you afraid of religion'? Well duh, religion is garbage.

What does God really care about?
Does he care if you say "GOD EXISTS" NOT AT ALL.

So what matters to God?

Do you want to be forgiven for all the bad things you did/said/thought ? DONE.
Now what do you need to do?

LOVE GOD BY LOVING OTHERS.
FORGIVE OTHERS IF YOU WANT TO BE FORGIVEN.
LIVE A LIFE OF LOVING OTHERS.
LEARN MORE EACH DAY TO LOVE OTHERS.
HELP THE NEEDY. BE OF GOOD CHARACTER, LEARN GOOD MORALS. FOLLOW YOUR CONSCIENCE.
DO TO OTHERS WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE OTHERS DO FOR YOU.
I mean, thats really all there is to it.. ALL the religious organizations are just there to confuse you or to help those who learn differently than you do.

But generally Christianity is THAT SIMPLE.

Now stop wasting time and just live your life doing those things.
Love others and you can prove that you are capable of loving God.

THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT.
Forget all these piece of crap whiney butt questions about whose religion is what.... Thats all junk.
You know what is RIGHT. START DOING IT.

The concept of hell won't instill fear in you if you are not convicted of the sin in your life, but hell itself will when it is too late to repent.
