You have to back up a bit to see the bigger picture, the all branch off of each other. Judaism teaches that there would be one great king of the house of David who would come and enlighten the Jewish people and lift them into a cultural renaissance, or into the new design of god, and as far as the Jewish people are concerned that messiah hasn't come yet, enter the figure of Jesus was promoted as messiah, small groups of separatists followed his teachings as a way to bring about 'gods great work' and were called Christians, they believe that Jesus was the Jewish messiah prophesied about, in Islam , the prophet Muhammad is the final prophet of god preceded by the likes of Moses, Jesus, Abraham and the lot. When Allah revealed the Qur'an to his prophet this is supposed to be the renewal of the original monotheistic faith. I their eyes the Christian and the Jews took a good thing the wrong way and they are trying to steer the boat back on course. SO in summation, Judaism is the cultural/spiritual foundation and they are still waiting/ the Christians are and offshoot and the found the messiah and he is the one true god/Islam teaches that god (Allah) is the only god and Muhammad is his last and true prophet, the split in Jewish Christian theology is a bit obvious the main split in Christian Islamic theology other than different prophet/religious texts is primarily that the Christians see Jesus as one with AND god (the whole divine birth thing) where as Islam/ Muhammad was a great teacher and prophet but only god is god. I think Christianity picked up some decidedly polytheistic tones (can we say the holy trinity?) during the subjugation and absorption of polytheistic pagan cultures, modern Christianity is rife with borrowed and adapted rituals, traditions and theology. Islam for the most part is free of those influences/but there are even some very wide variations in Islam (Sunni Shiite for example) and Judaism also has various traditions but essentially the share the same religious structure and possible the first monotheistic religions that do not center around a god/king on earth but instead look to something that is outside the realm of the every day

The three of them claim they worship the same god and they have different book but from the same god. However Judaism and Islam is more similiar because they believe that Jesus, Moses and mohammed are only Human and they are messengers of God. Also we should notice that Judaism is before christianity then Islam comes as last religion.

Islam like Judaism and Christianity is part of the Abrahamic covenant.
Abraham had 2 sons Ishmael and Issac.
Issac became the father of Jacob and of Judaism (Abraham, Issac, and Jacob) which later produced Christ out of the House of David.
Ishmael is the father of Islam. After Sarah sent Ishmael and his mother Hagar away (to secure Issac as the heir) an Angel led Hagar and Ishmael to an oasis and God promised onto Ishmael he would build a great nation.

Islam recognizes many of the prophets that Judaism recognizes. It also recognizes the Torah as the word of God, Although, Muslims believe that the original Torah has been corrupted since it was revealed to Moses (Since the Jews were exiled and lived in other lands they lost their scripture or could not keep it intact).
The Muslims also believe that Jesus was born miraculously, that he could perform miracles, that he is the Messiah, that Mary was a virgin, that Jesus received the word of God in the form of the Gospel. Although, the Muslims don't believe that Jesus is God, or the Son of God (since Jesus himself never said he was God so it is kind a hard to accept that based on an implied meaning only). They also don't believe that the Gospel that exist today is in its entirety the original Gospel (since we know that the Gospel we have today is the Gospel NOT according to Jesus, BUT according to Mark, Mathew, Luke and John and hence not really the original but only an interpretation of the original)
Muslim believe that Prophet Mohammed, like all other prophets before him (Abraham, Moses, Jesus etc) received devine revelation. This revelation is what the Holy Quran is. The Muslims believe that the Quran is still in its original form (since the Quran of today is still in its original Arabic text, even though there are translations of it in many languages, the original Arabic always acompanies the translation).
That's pretty much the high level view of it.

I can only give you an answer from the little bit of knowledge I have.
One thing that Islam has in common with Christianity and Judaism is that they are all taught about a man (who is mentioned in the Bible) by the name of Abraham.
Jews and Christians believe that Abraham was commanded by God to sacrifice his son, Isaac, on an altar. (And later it was mentioned that God didn't really want Abraham to kill his son. That the command was merely a test). In Islam, they believe it was Ishmael that Abraham was commanded to sacrifice.
Another thing Islam has in common with Christianity and Judaism, is Jerusalem. Jerusalem is holy ground to all 3 of these religions.

Muslims believe in the first testament, and believe Jesus was a prophet.
This is why Islam considers Jews and Christians to be "people of the book"
EDIT: To guy below me, Islam does NOT view Jesus as the Messiah. Muslims do not believe the Messiah has come yet.

Islam is connected to Christianity and Judaism because the main religion is the same as the religion which was developed by Abraham prophet that was called taukhid religion or monotheism.Abraham had 2 sons Ismael from his wife Hajar and the younger Issac from his wife Sarah
.Muhammad pbuh prophet was the descendant of Ismael while Moses and Jesus prophets. were the descendants from Isaac prophet. So Muhammad pbuh prophet and Moses prophet and also Jesus prophet were the descendsnts of Abraham prophet..They had a blood relationship. They had the same ancestor.
Abraham prayed to Allah the only one God that his families would be blessed as good (sholeh)persons.God agreed his willingness. So all prophets after Abaraham were his descendants..God gave the life guide Torakh to Moses and Bible to Jesus for Bani Israel.God gave the last life guide Qur'an to Muhammad pbuh as the last prophet. for all humans

you have a large question and one that makes assorted people scratch their head (determine of speech). So right it rather is the low down.... waiting? Abraham had 2 sons. the 1st one is born from his spouse's helper and this son's call is Ishmael. He and his mom have been thrown out with the aid of Abraham's spouse. Abraham's spouse has a son Isaac. Isaac has a son Jacob who then has 12 sons. Joseph being the youngest replaced into offered with the aid of his brothers and all of us understand the the remainder of that tale and in case you do no longer, it is so interesting and interesting. From the 12 sons of Jacob comes Judea who's the father of the Jews linage. no longer till the start of Jesus got here a paradigm shift and during Jesus Christ comes Christianity. the different sons of Jacob (who's call replaced into replaced to Israel with the aid of God) are accounted for and you would be able to look those up or maybe draw a genealogy. yet no longer enable us to forget Abraham's first born son Ishmael who had 12 sons additionally and have been peace makers. From this genealogy comes Muhammad. So in precis we've father Abraham who has 2 sons 1st Ishmael who has 12 sons and the linage is going all the way down to Muhammad. 2nd son is Isaac who has Jacob who has 12 sons, one being Judah the linage of Jesus Christ. So now you spot the relationship of Abraham to Islam, Judaism and Christianity.

The word "Islam" comes from an Arabic root word meaning "peace", "safety". "Islam" means "peace and security through submission to God."
Islam is the religion of submission to the will of God, the religion of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, Job, Moses, Aaron, Zakariah, John, Jesus, Elijah, Lot, Idris, Zul Kifl, Salih, Hud, Shuayb, and a hundred thousand other prophets (God bless them all and grant them peace) whom God sent to all the nations of the world. Finally, when the human race had the infrastructure to maintain a Divine revelation intact, Allah (the Arabic word for “God,” used by Arabic-speaking Muslims, Christians, and Jews) sent His final revelation, the Holy Qur’an, to His final Prophet Muhammad, beginning in 610 AD.
The word "Islam" comes from an Arabic root word meaning "peace", "safety". "Islam" means "peace and security through submission to God." In Arabic, you convert a general noun to a personal noun by preceding it with "M", so a Muslim (M+Islam) is a person who has found peace and security through submission to God.
Christianity, of course, was the new version of revealed religion, based on the teachings of Prophet Jesus, God bless him and grant him peace.
