I was set up when I was cleaning an office, the manager was stealing and he said that if I would say I took all kinds of things he would just fire me and not call the police. I said, no. He called the cops and had me arrested for embezzment. I never thougt it would stick but they took his word and I had just turned 18 and now I have a record. I hate it because everytime they do a back ground check it cops up. How can I get it removed? Now at 50 it still comes up. HELP!!!!!!

Once you are convicted of a criminal offense it is on your record for ever.

The process of getting a charge expunged means to have it removed from your public view criminal record. Police and other government agencies will still be able to find the past conviction, though.

Getting criminal charges expunged from your record is not an easy process. First you would have to see if your conviction even qualifies. Many do not.

You should start by contacting your state's Attorney Generals Office. They will tell you if by your state law the crime qualifies for consideration. You will then be instructed on what paper work must be filed.

You will need an Attorney to help you with the mounds of paper work and court appearances. This process will take months and maybe years and will cost you thousands of dollars.

It is not easy to do.

Go to your local government office and get it expunged. It's easy to do and if your low-income it's free. It only takes a few months go for it! Call the county office where you were arrested and they can tell you. Be blessed!

YOU WANT TO GO BACK 32 YEARS?

IF MANAGER IS STILL ALIVE YOU COULD HAVE HIM RECANT HIS STATEMENT AND CHARGES.

HE WOULD HAVE TO SAY HE HAS LIVED WITH THIS THOUGHT OF HIM STEALING AND PUTTING IT ONTO YOU AND NOW AS HE IS OLDER AND WANTS TO REPENT AND MAKE AMENDS.

OTHER THEN THIS METHOD I HAVE SEEN DONE??
