Odd.

And don't say the delivery fee! You are wasting gas to go pick it up too.

The delivery guy may have 7 stops before he gets to my house. The pizza will be old and cold by that time. And I'm a big tipper so I don't want to be set back 50 cents.

Although you make good points about the delivery fee and the gas, picking up a pizza is a good way to get the pizza faster if their is a list of people who want it delivered to them.... Also, if you pick up the pizza and notice there was a mistake on your order, you can have them fix it there instead of having to wait for them to come all the way back to your house after having to leave to fix the order. One other plus side is that if you go to pick up your pizza and you notice something that catches your eye, you can add that to your order where as if you got it delivered, you could not do that.

If you're calling in the order from home, then I agree unless they tell you their delivery person is going to be later than you want. But sometimes, I'll call in an order when I'm already out and about. Then I'll stop and pick it up (since it's on my way home) and that gets it to my house warmer and faster.

we are 18 miles to go p/up the nearest pizza! they will not deliver. and then we can only choose from domino's , pizza hut or some local shack called wolf mountain. so we usually go without! it's a real drag! if they would get a pizza place to deliver .....i would pay with a smile and a large tip!

getting delivered is more expensive, especially for me. i live in so. cali. in a very populated area and everything on every corner. they charge on average about 4 dollars for delivery, when you only spend about 30 cents on gas. LOL! its so worth it to pick up for me!

Cause barely any pizza places want to deliver to my area. So if I want good pizza, I gotta go get it.

Hot bartenders and waitstaff(bar pizza).
The pizza guy won't pick up beer and movies for you.
You have to tip the pizza guy.
