Yoga is great for a lot of reasons. It helps to increase your flexability, the calmness of Yoga will help relax you, and it can be a good, light, cardio workout, depending on the type of yoga you take.
You wouldn't think there would be cardio involved, but there is. Each movement you do has a little cardio going, not much, but a little, which is better than no cardio. And if you're doing the Hatha version (at least I think it's Hatha), then you'll spend your time relaxing and sweating in a hot room.

To relax the mind, body and spirit.
Until you break your hip and have to pay the hospital bill. Then, not so much.
