My wife has Medicare, they cover some things, not all. We're just recently married and money is tight, so I want to have all of our bases covered (Dr visits, ER visits,etc..). Especially since we want to have kids someday, but I know most won't cover gynecological matters. I'm new to all of this and it's confusing and scary. So, if anyone else is dealing with this or has in the past, any kind of help would be appreciated greatly.

You will need an HMO, PPO, Supplement and Part D drug coverage, or an Advantage plan to cover the gaps in your Medicare coverage. Look in the back of your 2008 Medicare book to see the private plans available in your state and county. Request information including a summary of benefits so that you can compare benefits versus premiums dollars spent depending on coverage for mental heath care and preventative care. Open enrollment is November 15th-December 31st. Don't miss it.

I would be happy to help you further. E-mail me and I will assess your needs based upon income, risk factors, medications, etc... I would have a few questions for you.

Take care.

See bipolar disorder, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris in section 10. Bipolar usually involves major moodswings, which occur without apparent cause, and often over months, rather than days, as with most people (unless rapid cycling). I'd try the Lithium Orotate, enhanced with Folic acid, and take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements daily, replacing 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements in the winter months, and see how that goes, over several weeks, and maintaining the treatments for the depressive phase, in section 2. If not considerably improved (or at least comparable with your present condition) consult your primary mental health care provider. Try the phone no.s for bipolar medication subsidies, and use the chatsites/forums to find out more.

Part D is about to go into open enrollment. Go to http://www.medicare.gov and there is a search option for part D plans. Fill in her medications and zip code and it will tell you how much you'll spend yearly. It's a great tool.
