I know i already posted this and forgot to put the link, but im studying Galileo and get the whole sun and jupiter thing in the top left corner but can you explain everything else. :] thank you

Those are the three muses. He's getting inspiration from them. The sun stuff is showing the sun as the center of the solar system - not the earth. I don't know about the canon and ship. I know he dealt with gravity, that may be the canon, the ship may be how he intended to show the curvature of the earth, which sailors already knew was round.

I saw this pic on TV when they were talking about comets!!
It is thought to be a comet. I guess back then they thought it was demons or a sign from god or something like that.
