I recently had a chemical peel done and was wondering about the process?

I had a 100% salycylic acid peel done on Tuesday. After 2 days, the skin is supposed to be, which is what is it doing now. I'm concerned because my skin is literately falling off in some places and staying put in others. I don't want to peel unevenly! Am I going to be tan in one spot and my natural skin color in another. Can anyone who has had a peel done professional shed light on this issue?
