Okay so yes I know all tattoos hurt but I am wondering what people with tattoos on their hips think. Do those tats hurt a lot. Does it depend on the amount of fat and skin I have on my hip???

okay because I must say this every time I add a tattoo question but I AM getting the tattoo and no one is going to change my mind. So for all you tattoo haters keep your opinion to yourself.

Tattooing over bone just hurts more, less flesh to cushion the needle, whether you over weight or skinny as a rail, the more flesh the less pain.
It also depends on your tolerance for pain, my last tatt in my on right bicep and I swear I don't remember any pain at all, maybe because I was distracted talking to my daughter.
Take someone with one to talk to, it may help if you're really worried about it hurting.

It doesn't matter how fat or skinny you are. It's your nerves that are hitting. Everybody is different , so therefore people feel different ammounts of pain. I have a heart on my hip, and it was my first tattoo and it didn't hurt at all.

No it doesnt hurt very much at all on your hip (and I 'm not chubby). Unless it is on the actual hip bone then it's pretty good. Most women that come in have the same reaction.

yes tattoos do hurt but you get used to it after a while.i have 2 on my lower back, one on my right shoulder and one on my left shoulder.what hurted the most was the lower back.the more bone there is the more it will hurt,if you have extra meat on you it may be less pain =)

Yes it will hurt! A little fat helps but usually you're still hitting the bone.

Why why why would you ask if it hurts if you already know it does?
If you are letting the pain affect your decision, then you are not ready for a tattoo!
fyi
ITS TATTOO NOT TAT!
