Hi Mark! We all battle with sin every day! However, if you are saved the Lord will make it where you will be victorious over sin. This may be overnight or it may be a gradual process. The point is to be conscious of falling into sin and avoid it. We can do all things through Christ who gives us all we need to defeat the devil and sin. We are well equipped to fight the battle and win! Remember, the reason Christ died and that is to redeem us from sin. Give the Lord a heartfelt confession and ask Him to help you defeat your weakness. After this, do not beat your self to death over this. Remember, that you are a beloved son of the Most High God who counts the hairs on your head. You have the DNA of a champion whom the Lord delights in. Hold your head up and refuse to be defeated! The Lord Himself is on YOUR side! Just refuse to live a lifestyle that includes those things that would make it easy for you to repeat the sin. Remove your self from all things that are not Godly. Whether that be the wrong music, movies etc... Anything that would cause you to sin. Devote yourself to prayer and reading the Bible and put His word in your heart. It will become easier and easier to avoid sinful behavior as the Lord fills you with His Holy Spirit. I hope this helps! May the Lord bless you!

I'm happy about your salvation! Well first you realized you sinned so go to Jesus in prayer. Ask for repentance. If your sincere He'll forgive and forget that sin. But you do realize that you have to pay for that sin on earth. There is always repercussions for our sins. Jesus always gives us a way out before we contiune towards that sin. Next time look for it--it's always there , sometimes we don't see it. Stay in the Word make sure your not take in by false doctorine. You'll grow just like a child. The bible tells us that we start out with milk but we'll need meat soon enough. Don't let anyone ship wreck your faith stay in the Word daily.

Who defined "saved" for you? The Bible never says you are "saved." That is a modern creed developed by people who want your money. The Bible speaks of salvation in an ultimate sense after judgment after the second coming of Jesus Christ. During life we live by faith. We access grace by faith. Accessing grace, which is the gift of God, is done by enduring to the end. Salvation comes after enduring tribulation. Read Romans 5 and Hebrews 10. Abraham was not saved all at once. He lived by faith all his life. He gained access to grace by living faithfully. Did he sin? Certainly. Just because the Bible doesn't record his sins, does not mean Abraham never sinned. Paul wrote: That which I would do, I do not, and that which I would not do, I do. He meant he sinned. He repented. That is what a Christian disciple does. That is what repentance is all about. Salvation is a process. Pray, read your scriptures, try every day and the Lord's grace will enable you and give you power to overcome the flesh and become a child of God. The miracle is realized over time. Paul was not prepared to stand before Agrippa an hour after Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus. Peter was not prepared to heal the paralyzed man the week Jesus found him at the Sea of Galilee. If these men took time to grow, learn, repent and increase in wisdom, then you and I certainly will need time to become like Jesus. And Jesus needs time to work with us in our lives. Let him.

It is normal. "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" romans 3:23. You will want to repent your sin. As a christian, heck, as anybody, it is impossible not to sin. The difference is that a lot of the non-christians see nothing wrong with what they do, or they pay someone to forgive their sins for them. In Christianity, you learn from you sins and strive to do and become better. While this sin may be around for awhile and may be a large struggle for you, just remember that everything happens for a reason. If the sin stops, then great, but becareful, because the devil is always looking for weakness to attack in believers.

Go back to the foot of the cross and realize that our sins put Him there. That will bring you to true repentance. It's o.k. to have a time of sorrow for sinning. In fact if you didn't it would probably mean that you take sinning too lightly. Lay your sin at the foot of the cross and leave it there and move forward in your Christian walk resolved not to repeat that sin.Love and trust Jesus Christ and you will find your way. I hope you will go to the link provided. God bless!!

Nothing. You will continue to be tempted. This is the devils job. He loves to see us fall and more than that, he loves to make us feel bad that we have sinned. The key is repentence. Turn away from the thing that was sinful and ask for God to forgive you and TURN AWAY from that.

Just remember that the devil knows what your weaknesses are, so you have to ask the Lord to help you in this area and be willing to resist that sin.

Congratulations on your giving your life to Jesus.
You were born a sinner, you will die a sinner. We are blessed with a loving and forgiving God.
I am a smoker. I wish I wasn't, finding it really hard to quit. I asked my pastor, because of my addiction, I am defiling the temple of the Holy Spirit - a sin - but he told me to be the best smoking Christian that I could be. He said to pray about it, and that God would deal with it in His time. He said God was working in other areas of my life. He said that I am a work in progress.
God loves you, if you are genuinely sorry, He knows, because He alone knows what is in your heart.
Be gentle on yourself, and trust in the Lord. God bless you.

We all sin and fall short of the glory of God but Love the Lord Jesus with all your heart. Ask (for forgiveness) and you shall receive. God is Good and God is Gracious. You know this and I know this and thank you for your question and helping me to learn also.
