The Christians who are, as you put it, "holier than thou".

Jesus keeps saying "Love one another", "God is Love", and "Love thy Neighbor", and those folks always manage to get a good boiling hate against anyone who doesn't believe exactly like them.

"Judge not, lest you be judged," -- but the extremists ARE judging, and they are keeping score, and the rest of us aren't scoring many points.

I can just see God slapping his forehead and saying "THAT'S NOT WHAT I SAID!!!!"

The latter. At least with Atheists, they are honest about their beliefs and they are open. A Christian who demonstrates the behaviors you just described is not what God is calling for in his people. It is HE who is the judge, not us. We are all counted as filthy rags but for his grace so we don't have the right to judge someone else or condemn them in a way that cuts them down in an effort to make ourselves appear more Holy. THIS is not holy behavior.

Christian recognize they are sinner, So they are only holy through belief in Jesus. Second atheist have no concept of God so therefore do not recognize sin or God. God is disappointed by man not desiring to know Him. He loves the atheist, but longs for them to recognize his existence. God loves for the atheist to believe.

God will never get disapointed. If all the people in the world become very pious and abiding His commandments, it will not add anything to His power. If all the people in the world become very rebellious, sinful and not abiding by His commandments, that will not diminish His power.

But God will become angry when people indulge in rebellion and sinful acts.

I wouldn't blame him for being fed up with ALL of us. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Simply put: disobedience. Doesn't matter from any source, from any gender, any thought process. Just disobedience is disappointing to God.
