Okay, but its really expensive in Rodeo. One blouse from valentino is 2 grand. At any rate, Since I'm in the middle of the two and they are both half an hour away, Its about an hour drive. Where do you intend to go first? Go to Crustacean on Brighton Way, it is a Great restaurant! I'm sure you'll have to go the next day to Disney land so. Take the 10 freeway East and 5 South.
Have fun!

Beverly Hills sucks in terms of travel, because since they so vehemenently fought against building a freeway through their city, it is not really close to any freeway, so there's a lot of gridlocked street driving around there.
The point is, just plan a little extra time.

stay in orange county, go to south coast, no need to drive all the way to LA for great shopping but if you must, 40 min in good traffic 2 hours plus on a bad day.

It should take 1hr but I have had it take 2hrs easily due to traffic. Just plan plenty of time because you never know with L.A. traffic. It is worth it though to go, even if it does take you a while! Have fun...
