I highly doubt it... but I dropped my digital camera about 3 feet off a table... the lens was open. It wouldn't shut... just made the "closing noise". I tried to force it close but it's just messed up.. Very frustrating..

ANY advice on how to fix it? Thanks in advance if so..

It would probably cost more to have it fixed than to buy a new one. I would take it to an electronic shop first though and get an estimate before I proceed with anything. Good luck!

This digicam does no longer hav an optical viewfinder. i ought to opt for just about any digicam with an optical viewfinder over one which purely has an liquid crystal demonstrate viewfinder. Why? a million. You not in any respect have the alternative of turning off the liquid crystal demonstrate and those products eat batteries for lunch and spit them out. Why remove the alternative of a viewfinder that has 0 electric powered drain? 2. it will be confusing to be sure the picture on an liquid crystal demonstrate in spectacular image voltaic, even if or not they are "new and more desirable." 3. you should carry an liquid crystal demonstrate viewer out at far in the front of your face. that is extra conspicuous than I favor to be each and each and every of the time. 4. the favor to carry a digicam at hands length will introduce some shake. i like the concept of stabilizing a digicam hostile to my face at the same time as i'm taking a image. that is somewhat important with an prolonged zoom lens. No ask your self "image stablization" or "vibration help" is necessary with those cameras. no longer that there is something incorrect with IS or VR, yet it really is a call for with liquid crystal demonstrate viewfinders and telephoto lenses. 5. utilising the liquid crystal demonstrate to view pictures once you've taken them slows down the digicam lots. you won't be able to close of the liquid crystal demonstrate computer screen and nonetheless take pictures in case you do not have an optical viewfinder.

R.I.P. Olympus FE 100. You can now use it as a paperweight.

Repairs - at your expense - will likely cost as much as a new camera. You may as well begin shopping for a new camera.

See if it still has it's warranty and ask the place you bought it from. They may agree to send it to get fixed with a small fee.

sorry to say but it might be broken. Can it be repaired? yes it can, but it might be expensive. Could the repair cost as much or more than the camera? yes it could.
