On my nose and chin there are these black and brown dots that look like clogged pores. I've assumed they are. They're more visible on my nose.
I used the Biore strips to remove them. When i remove the strip I see a lot of dirt and oil on the strip. It always looks like the strip pulled everything out of my pores. But the spots are still there. What's going on?

It may be that you're just seeing your pores or that the strip didn't get every single last one of the blackheads.

Another important thing to remember is that immedietely after using a Biore strip, you should rub ice over the parts that you treated. Sounds weird, but this helps close the pores--it's pointless to pull out all of the muck only for them to get clogged again, right?

Pores seem to be particularly dialated right after using a strip, I've noticed, so this may help a bit.

If this doesn't help, I'd recommend getting an extraction done at any salon that does facials--it kind of hurts, but it's a surefire way to get rid of EVERY blackhead you have.

If you don't wash your face thoroughly before you use the strips than that stuff you see on the strip is dirt and oil that your face has collected throughout the day.

maybe the strips just pulled off the topmost layer of dead skin?
