It's because of the dry temperature in the house due to the winter season so put a humidifer in the house so you won't be shock by friction. Friction is caused by walking on carpet and when you touch something, you will get shocked.

It's cold weather now and homes are being heated. Everything dries out, causing static electricity when you walk over a surface - thus "getting shocked". Get a humidifier - this will make it go away,

Static electricity. Watch how you walk. If you shuffle your feet around like on carpet...that works up friction working up static electricity (which is like a mini lightning bolt) and ZAP!
So I say if you do not pick up your feet do it more and it should stop.
If it does not, you might have a nerve problem and might want to see a Dr.

Maybe you're just anxious. I mean there's this term called being wound up too tight. When I am nervous about something and it occupies my whole mind, any sudden contact is shocking to me. On the other hand, when i am unconcerned with myself and just relaxed, even if someone tries to surprise me, i just accept it with rigid indifference.

You have a high ratio of Midi-chlorians in your blood. You could be the chosen one. You need to learn to control the force before it is too late. Contact your nearest Jedi Council member as soon as possible.

If you are walking on carpeted floors, it causes a charge to build up. Then when you touch something, it causes a spark. It's more likely to happen in drier air, which happens as it gets cooler.

Figure out what you are wearing such as shoes with rubber soles or synthetic clothes that are making you carry a static charge.
