There are many 'Intel' agents up for trial overseas.
Anybody accused of a crime should be able to get legal representation, esp with the blunders already made.
Torturing someone who doesn't have any info because they are suspect will be futile.
Yes, this is a disgrace esp when this whole 9 11 thing has never been rightfully settled.

regardless of if i do no longer think of individuals would desire to be abusing or torturing the prisoners at Gitmo, i'm ill and bored with the whining approximately terrorists being held without rights. They, and their brethren, did no longer care proper to the rights of the individuals on the planes and interior the WTC and the Pentagon on 9/11. so a procedures as i'm in contact they'd take a seat there till h**l freezes over.

1. It's not illegal. The ones kept there are illegal combatants within the definitions contained in the Laws of Land Warfare (Geneva Conventions). In previous conflicts they would have been summarily executed after capture without violating any international laws.
2. Their food and other support services are done under the "same soldier" rule which the U.S has been following since World War Two. The personnel guarding these people did not live in permanent structures until those being held lived in permanent structures. The food they are provided meets both their dietary culture and the limits of their religious beliefs. They receive a high level of medical care and, in many instances, have received surgical correction of conditions which pre-existed their capture.
3. The Internation Committee of the Red Cross has an office at Camp Delta and has not reported any violation of any of the Laws of Land Warfare with respect to the internment of these people.
So, the people who say it is illegal are wrong. The people who say it is inhumane are wrong.

First off, it's not a prison camp, it's not a concentration camp. It is a detainee camp. These persons being held are being treated humanely, fed 3 meals a day that are considerate of their religion, medical, and dental treatment. Their religious prayer times are observed and announced on loud speaker. They are not beaten by the guards, this is strictly prohibited, and punishable by either Article 15 NJP, or court martial. They are not worked to death as in the concentration camps run by the Nazi regime of German during world war 2. So far nothing has been given as proof of maltreatment, only hearsay from lawyers. So No it does not need to be closed, and unless you have been there you can't comment on how things are down there.

No, because a "concentration" camp has traditionally been a place for those who commited no crime. The "people" at gitmo are those captured in armed conflict against the US. In previous wars such combatants were excuted on capture and have no rights under the Geneva convention. The fact that they are alive and being treated in a humane manner says that we are a meriful people.

First of all, guantanamo is not a concentration camp, it is a military base with a prison, and its people like you who twist the facts that ruin america's reputation. In fact, how dare you even call yourself an american when you clearly hate this country and would rather protect the rights of terrorists over saving the lives of innocent people who live in this country.

Concentration camp? My my, aren't we being a little melodramatic here. The inmates at Gitmo are getting the best prison treatment in the world. They have access to better health care than you do. They have all their square meals a day. They have places to sleep, access to exercise, books, prayer, and lawyers. If you think this is inhumane, you should step out of your ivory tower once in awhile.
It's WAY better treatment than I would have allowed. One bullet is much cheaper.

It is inhumane and it should be shut down. However, it is no longer illegal(at least the act of torture which what I think you're talking about isn't). Congress recently passed a bill that allowed "intensive interrogation techniques" aka torture.
