I don't who told you that you needed to be baptized to get to Heaven, but they are wrong. Baptism is simply a show of faith. To enter Heaven one must only accept God as their personal Savior. That is it.

The physical act of baptism can't save any one! Only faith in Jesus Christ can do that. baptism is something that comes after salvation and is for believers only. It is a public outward testimony that the believer has identified themselves with the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord. It is also the scriptural means that the new believer is added to the church. i.e. membership. A study of the Scriptures will reveal that there is no service acceptable to the Lord outside of baptism also.

If you want to chance your eternity on that -just go ahead and live that way. .....but the actual answer is NO!! it is like if you were driving and kept ignoring stop signs and you smugly do it one more time - and this time a semi runs you over, You can risk it but one day IT will catch up to you. Jesus' death on the cross is not 'free sin" card. You can't say I believe and go and intentually sin because your forgiven. Except to deny the Holy Spirit no sin is too great for Him to forgive though You have to sincerely confess to recieve His grace and in your heart vow to never do it again. If you keep doing it because you a mocking the issue- you aren't going to heaven. If someone robbed your house and said I'm sorry- you could forgive them--but what if they kept coming back the next night said "sorry".. and did it night after night.they would be mocking your forgiving them. Would you just let them continue robbing you????

Salvation (that is- going to heaven) is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. That is the fundamental foundation of our faith. Water baptism is just an outward act that publicly declares your faith. It is also a ritual to become a member of a local church (for some denominations.)

The scriptural verses that you enumerated are true.
