In my last question it was suggested that I have a problem with the theory of evolution and that I did not have a valid argument. OK that’s fine. Here is a theory for you. Evolution is fact as it has been scientifically fleshed out to the point that it is. However, that does not preclude intelligent structure. Much like gravity draws objects our material universe seams drawn towards life and abundance. Give that a name if you will maybe universal consciousness. Once this cosmic material was pulled to the extent that evolution could pull it towards the universal consciousness something change specifically in humans, we became conscious. We were gifted with higher order consciousness than required for life on earth. Metaphors abound about this event but my theory explains a ton and does not exclude scientific fact.

Your thoughts please?

You see, I don't need to believe the popular theories of the day. I don't see the point. Those who believed that the Earth was the center of the universe thought they had it right. And when something came against that belief, they did not know how to react. To them, someone was taking from them something that they held onto as if was a part of their identity, when it only seemed that way to them.

I am yet another part of society that says, " We are not so advanced, watch Naked Science on the history channel and tell me I'm wrong. There are still some basic, basic things that we have no clue how to answer. We still don't know why the Asteroid Belt is where it is, and we still don't know why Neptune and Uranus are where they are. It doesn't fit the Big Bang model!

So people go on today, thinking they are so cool with their Evolution and their Global Warming, I wonder which rock bands didn't appear at an event for this; to popularize the theory ( for politicians! ).

I think that science today is a toddler in a play pen in the front yard, trying to explain to his mommy why the car makes noise.

Those are my thoughts.

I have a theory about this event as well that actually somewhat correlates with the whole "fruit of knowledge" aspect of Genesis. I believe that along the evolutionary chain primitive man probably ate some particular mind expanding mushrooms or plant which triggered a greater conscience giving birth to philosophy, art and science. I'm not sure I buy the "universe being drawn towards life deal". I kind of think that the universe was created but probably because it was a side-effect of a "divine experiment". I don't really think that GOD has any direct control over what happens although that kind of contradicts the power of prayer. I think that is part of HIS mystique is HIS paradoxical presence in general :).

Evolution is not a reality. It is still called the Theory of Evolution, and even though it has repeatedly and consistently been proven to be false by reputable scientists, the popular belief still prevails that evolution is true. We do not come from animals. We are and always have been humans. Your "theory" is horribly filled with holes. I suggest you do some real research, and quit reading myths. Your belief in something may be absolute, but it still does not make your belief true.

For you to accept evolution would mean the bible is a lie.
(I don't want to go into detail, but that is the bottom line)
I think you have to work out which one you believe.
Why does there have to be a universal consciousness, can't people just accept that we're here, for no reason.
No, It doesn't make sense, does it have too?

The thing to remember is that evolution is just a theory, a speculation, an unproven assumption....and NOT supported by the fossil record.

"Have you not read, that He which made them AT THE BEGINNING made them male and female?" - Jesus ...(Matt.19:4)

"From the beginning of the Creation God made them male and female..."-- Jesus (Mk. 10:6)

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.... For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:6-9)

I do not believe the belief if god means you do not believe in evolution. I believe that a belief in the God of the Bible means you cannot believe in the evolution. As the Bible clearly teaches that God made the earth. To say it evolved it contradiction of self.

because fact: evolution is not fact. and most of what they claim is not fact. like coming from monkeys and how old the earth is. also the Bible says God created all things. and it specifically says God created man. not a monkey that turned into a man.

when my son was young, He told me that we came from a Big Bang....so...I sent him to the sandbox, and I told him to toss the sand, and when he came up with something besides sand, to come into the house and let me know.

He came in a few min. later and said that nothing but sand could come out of sand...so I sent him back and told him to toss the sand again, and let me know when he created a beautiful sand castle......

finally, I sent him out to create a sand castle, and when he did, I told him that the castle made its self..He got my point.
