By valuing who you are; not comparing yourself and understand that you are unique and wonderful.

Make good choices in life; really think about how they will affect you and others. Always strive to be a good person, this puts into your own mind positive thoughts about yourself. Help others whenever you can; not in a dysfunctional way, but in a good way--be supportive when people need it in the way they need it.

By doing something to make yourself proud of yourself. Self-esteem is about self respect. The only way to get self respect is to do things you admire in other people.

Volunteer your time and talents somewhere - homeless shelter, children's hospital, pound, day care center, nursing home.

Achieve a goal worth achieving. Succeed at something important. Do the right thing even when the right thing is hard or unpopular.

Find ways to earn your own respect, then your self-esteem will be real and durable, not cheap and phony.

Trust me on this one. I learned the hard way that the only person I have to respect is me, and if I don't respect me, well, "life ain't worth livin'."

Hang around people who have a good self esteem.

Write down everything you like about yourself.

Try to look at the up side to everything. It takes a little bit of practice.

Every morning tell yourself it will be a great day.

you feel like you dont have a high enough self esteem. it happpens to alot of people. you need a confidence booster. make a list of all the things that are bring you down.. write them in your least favorite color, color pencil, on a plain peice of paper once you have showed urself the things you arent proud of rip of the paper into a bunch of pieces. then make a new list in your fav. color and put all the things you like about yourself, then post the list somewere where you will see it everyday. this will remind you of the good things and help you forget the bad. if u would like any further advice feel free to send me and email at xolidsxo@yahoo.com
