Yes, the military will give you lovely BC glasses for basic.

Yes, as long as your vision is correctable to 20/20 with glasses or contacts. Threre are a few jobs which require 20/20 without glasses, but for most glasses are OK. You'll have to wear the ugly Army-issued glasses during basic training, but after that you can wear other conservative style frames.

Also, the military is now offering LASIK and PRK as elective surgery - and for FREE! That might be something to consider after you join.

Yes. You can wear glasses. Here are the vision standards for vision which is corrected by glasses or contact lenses:
20/20 in the better eye. 20/400 in the other.
20/30 in the better eye. 20/100 in the other.
20/40 in the better eye. 20/70 in the other.
Your refractive index cannot exceed plus or minus eight diopters of refractive error (this one is waiverable).
Anything worse than the above is disqualifying.

Yes. But you'll hate wearing the Army issued ones they'll give you. Go get Lasik, then join.

only if you need them and wear them. You'll have to trade them in for the ugly Army issue ones. Don't plan on getting any girls with those things on. I strongly advise against joining the combat arms, though. You'll be cleaning them constantly.

Yes, they have some very fashionable (haha) ones they will issue you in basic training. My husband is in the Marines and he has glasses and his brother is in the Army and wears glasses as well.

Go ask a recruiter. They would know the physical requirements.Usually 20/20 vision only applies to pilots, and contacts are usually permitted, except for combat pilots.

Sure you can. I wear glasses, and was active-duty US Army for eight years. Don't let any idiots tell you any different.
