Doing a study of religions, can you tell me how?

many spiritualist we have on Q&A and how many mediums.? And can you say what is the cause of so much friction between the different religions.

Read something about Islam - someone else will have to suggest what.
Read "Drawing Down the Moon" by Margot Adler to get a brief overview of Pagan religions.
Also read "The Spiral Dance by Starhawk."

The cause of the friction is ego, and comes from religions that teach that their god is the only true god, and his (always a male god) followers are going to go to heaven to live with him and everyone else is going to burn in Hell.
