Seriously? Better talk to your armorer first... Take a pair of pliers and either unscrew or break off that little nub on top, fixed between the two wings. The wings and sight are all cast into the same metal as the barrel and are one solid piece. Why would you want to remove the sight?

Where did you acquire an M-16?Unless you have a Federal Firearms License with an Automatic weapons endorsement you are not legal to have one.
Front post is sensitive...you could mess it up good.

Why would you want to take off your front sites?
Any way the front tip sight can be unscrewed.
