It's 100% safe as long as you don't send the item until you've cashed the money order. You might turn some buyers off by doing that though. Who wants to be hassled by paying with a money order--you have to go to the store, post office, bank, etc to get it. People shop online because of convenience, click and buy. Now they click, buy, get money order, mail it, wait for it to get to you, wait for you to cash it, wait for their item to arrive.

Well if it's a special circumstance like this, then yes request money order or check and make sure the buyer KNOWS that is how he is to pay, put it in LARGE print....and communicate to the buyer after purchase...I personally will not buy anything unless they do accept pay pal, but who knows maybe the buyer won't care.

No! Alot of money orders look real but may be fake! stick with paypal! It may be a hassle asking your dad for the money, but safe.

money order is always 100% safer but slower. Paypal is great, I have never had any trouble with them at all. Id say you are safe either way, depends on how fast you need the money.

Yes, but eBay says more buyers tend to bid on items when Paypal is offered as a form of payment. It protects the buyer and the seller.

Miss I was a Power Seller. Do not accept money orders you will have spider webs hanging off of yourself before they will pay. Stay with pay pal and credit card purchases only.Never ship until the funds are in your pay pal account and you have withdrawn them. At that time ship within forty eight hours.

Yes, I've been selling on ebay for many years and it's very safe to accept money orders. That's all some people will do.

could be but it's all about your preference and which method you prefer. I'd prefer to receive a money order because I could have cash in my hands rather than virtual money on good at certain virtual stores with the potential of someone hacking into my account and stealing my money.

the thing about money orders is that people FORGE them all the time. id have to cash the money order and make sure it was real before i even thought of releasing the goods. if you deposit the money order and it turns out to be forged, the transaction will be reversed by who ever accepts the deposit. same thing if you cash it. why cant you have your own checking account for the loot to go to? are you too young? didnt think that was possible....

It is safe but not safe if it gets lost, but of course on PayPal it is way safer and I prefer PayPal and you can always ask your dad for his opinion too. That is the safest way.
Good luck!!
