Atheists believe that evolution is proof God doesn't exist, Christains believe that the Bible is proof that he does.

So what is your definition of proof? What would it take for you to change your mind?

Just curious.

Fist, I don't buy the evolution argument. God could very easily have created evolution. And as for Christians saying the Bible is proof don't Muslims use the same logic about the Koran?

Would "proof" be appearing hanging over Central Park just in time for the evening news? Just because I saw it on TV or read it in some book does not make it real or truthful. I once saw a magic trick performed live in front of me about twenty-five feet away. Was it real? It looked real but wasn't. Proof is in the eye of the beholder.

If your mind can be changed to show that God does exist can it be changed to show the opposite, that God does not exist? For example, why does God allow suffering say of a child that has inoperable brain cancer? Why did God allow 9/11?

most atheist don't believe there is proof and circular proofs like the bible that some Christians profess is none sense .
I think therefore i am is one famous proof philosophically but religion is based on faith not proof. for as close as one can get to an undeniable proof go to science and you will find even the most fundamental proofs always are left open for new evidence just keep in mind the idea of gravity developed by Isaac Newton was not upturned until Albert Einstein explained what it really is in to days terms at least unless someone upgrades that .

Need to see him/her/it. Supposedly, one person saw him on a mountain, another in a cave, but never a group of people who can then verify that this creature exists and is who he says he is. The only proof ever given is that it says so in the bible. Yet there is ample proof that the bible was written by men, and edited by men. And this goes for all the holy books.

Mankind created their gods because of their fear of the dark and the unknown. Men created religion to control other men.

Both statements you made are incorrect. Evolution doesn't prove anything about the existence of a deity. It does prove that some Abrahamic texts are incorrect, or allegory rather than fact, but that's all.

The Bible has been demonstrably altered over time. That is historical fact. You can't even begin to state what it proves until you define what you mean by 'bible' - there are many versions, books have been deleted, verses deliberately altered. Then, once you have defined the source text, you still cannot prove divine origin. Short of Deus Ex Machina, you can't know until you die.

I don't think there is such a thing as absolute proof

No logical person would say that evolution proves the non-existence of god. Unless you are talking about God (R-Heaven). But there is physical evidence supporting the theory and the fact of evolution while there is none in support of the existence of god.

I don't think evolution is proof that god doesn't exist. My belief in evolution and my non-belief in god are 2 separate issues.
As to proof. Facts would help. A fact is something that can be tested and proved.

Proof that cannot be denied. The bible can easily be denied. Evolution however, IS NOT absolute proof that a god does not exist. It is proof the Christian god doesn't.

regularly talking "evidence" is merely significant in arithmetic and good judgment. i think of the notice you're finding for is "information". Secondly, you will no longer be able to teach information (or teach) that a element does not exist, no count number how demanding and how a lot compelling information you will possibly have. on the different hand, there is significant information that various faith's claims do no longer experience, in different words, we are able to inspect a faith's claims and a huge physique of information and clearly see that there is not any way that the religion comes close to to matching or remotely explaining the information. This has little or no result on what human beings have self assurance, and a lot of believers will alter or rationalize their ideals to "extra healthful" the information in spite of the way it effects what their faith rather claims.

Yeah, for me evolution and the fact that God doesn't exist are two different things.

But anyway, proof is something that I can see and touch that can't be faked or "interpreted" to be what you want it to be.

wow are u off-base
we don't say evolution is proof of non-existence of god, it's EVIDENCE that the book of Genesis is not to be taken literally. That;s a totally different subject.
